Well, I understand why it has to be HBO and not you that announces who has been cast (not just for the suspense), so don't worry about it. Maybe HBO is waiting for more characters to be cast before releasing the list of names, to make it a more substantial press release. Who knows?

Just a few more cryptic clues, oh, please? We've chewed on your previous clues so hard and so thoroughly and for so long that there's no flavor left to them! Yet, still we keep chewing, chewing...A few new ones would keep us talking-guessing-arguing-working our little gray cells for... oh, a good long time.

While delays are disheartening, the delayed start date happens to be on my birthday - a very lucky day as it is. So, I'm taking that as a good sign!

Hey, whatever it takes to get Orlando Bloom as Loras is fine with me. ;-)

George, we're all looking forward to this! I feel only HBO can do it justice.

I'm still holding out hope that my emailing HBO with begging and pleading might hurry them up. I can hope, right?

No news is better than bad news, I hope they manage to find the best cast they can get.

I have no idea how these things work, but it seems awfully close to have a start date in October and as of mid-August only a few parts cast.

The ones we know about look great, I'm looking forward to finding out others and even more excited, of course, for the finished product. Maybe it will finally get my husband to read the books. ;)

I completely understand. I'm even willing to let the cat out of the bag on HBO's behalf just to ease some of the mental anguish many of your readers are currently suffering. Here goes:

I've been cast.

That's right! I've been cast to play, um, I think I've been cast to play *all* of the female roles that are left. I'd have to double check my contract, but... Oh. Yep. There it is, right where I wrote it on the back of this Arby's receipt. "Behnnie will be playing all of the remaining female characters..."

So sleep easy tonight, friends, knowing you're one casting choice ahead of the rest of the world.

It's interesting enough watching it all come together...

I'm trying to be patient but the suspense is killing me!

I'm convinced they're just casting Meryl Streep to play every part, and the delay is in figuring out how much she gets paid per role, because no one is actually sure just how many roles there ~are~ in ASOIAF...

I'm really looking forward to her Hodor.

When HBO does make their announcement, do they post it online somewhere?

Man, I'm just so thrilled that HBO seems to really give a shit about the success of this series with the impressive casting.

Aww, c'mon, you can tell us who has been cast; I'm sure HBO won't mind. You revealed the new greens for the Asha and Yrgitte miniatures 16 days before they went up on Dark Sword's site, after all - why should this be any different? :o)

Nah, I kid. I am sort of enjoying the cryptic hints and suspense, actually...

I feel like a junkie craving his next fix with how often I've been checking to see if it's finally been announced. On a positive note, I finally got my girlfriend to read 'Thrones', so I am no longer the only fiend in the house. I understand everyone's desire to satisfy their curiosity but come on people! With how long we've been waiting and aching for 'Dance' this by comparison is a walk in the park. You heard the big man himself say when they hope to start filming, so how much longer could they possibly play this close to the chest? (I really hope I didn't just jinx us all)
I find in life that if you keep low expectations...or expect the worst, it's a little more difficult to be disappointed. Willing the announcement sooner or time to magically jump to the beautiful day that 'Dance' finally comes out will leave one as satisfied and well adjusted as Cersei.
I'll still fantasize about them casting Atia(Polly Walker) as Melisindra though.( Too bad no sex scenes in the series with her so far)

the wore what can be. today i have situation that i depend on a desion of other people. And it is terrible when you see their smiles, hear their promises to let you know, but... no news.
after many times I lost a habbit to wait fow an answer (or recieved a habbit not to believe in people) and I do not feel disappointed after it. But news are better,
when you have news you feel you are alive

Actually the most likely reason there is no casting confirmation is because there might be some shooting conflicts with those actors who haven't signed yet or who have signed before the shooting dates were finalized.
