As Jaime Lannister...

Spain
... we have Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.

I dropped several hints about him. Dutch Treat - NCW played the lead in NEW AMSTERDAM. Going out for a Danish - NCW is actually a Dane. Shows get cancelled - NEW AMSTERDAM was cancelled by Fox. Characters get cancelled - NCW was also in VIRTUALITY, where his character was killed.

And too good to be true? When he was cast, I went searching for him on the internet, I found this on YouTube and couldn't resist:

Watch that, and I think you'll agree, he'll make a terrific Jaime.

As good looking as Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is this means that the woman who will play Cersei Lannister will have to be as good looking if not better looking. That's a tall order especially since they need to not only look good but act sexy but also be strong and conniving. So a good looking actress that can also act. Better looking than Jennifer Ehle at least. It's going to be difficult.

Your comment reminded me, I am re-reading AFFC, and I think it is at "someone's" funeral, Cersei sees Margaery with Loras and thinks to herself how alike they look--as if they they could be twins, even more so than herself and Jaime. Almost jealous about it, and then I think it gives her the idea that there could be some dirt to be dug up on Margaery.
So, however the casting goes, those 2 actors would also have to look even more alike...
But I know that is logistically unlikely. Such an observation will probably be disregarded.
(I edited this by changing the actual name to "someone" because on another casting post, there was a complaint of being spoiled when a poster mentioned that a character dies.)
