She has no lines in common with Mr. Miyagi, but maybe she should. If we were playing "Six Degrees," there would only be one link between us. Her mother and Big Ben are strangers.
It could be Lisa Shue...she would be perfect I agree. IMDB shows her available after having just finished Piranha 3-D, but has a rumored part in The Hard Ride which is still in pre-production.
Hmmm...just off the top of my head (and a quick IMDB search), I have three possible names: Elizabeth Shue, Hilary Swank (not bloody likely) and Robyn Lively. All three are about the right age and were involved in one or more of the "Karate Kid" films.
That's got to be it, she (Hilary) is a friend of yours isn't she? *wishes I was a friend of yours...* Good luck Hilary! Break a leg seems to be in order. Good choice Nina and crew. So far the cast is exemplary. Now what are we going to speculate about now that you have all the main characters cast? I imagine the traffic on WIC will die down. LOL Or not, we will have season 2 cast for you before the pilot is released. What will you tease us about now?
I'm starting to believe that it is Lisa Shue. Her husband has connections at HBO. He directed "Deadwood." I'm wondering if her mother and Ben Roethlesburger were from the same town in Ohio?
I'm guessing it's Sophia Myles. Ron Perlman is the link between Martin and her and she was in a movie with Pat Morita where they didnt have lines spoken to each other. And she isn't burdened with an english accent like Elizabeth Shue and Hillary Swank and has worked in television recently. I don't really see her as a villian though.....
I was thinking Sophia Myles as well. Her IMDB page says her maternal grandmother is Russian, so maybe her mother was not born in England, making her a stranger to Big Ben the clock, rather than Big Ben the quarterback. And the Ron Perlman reference is spot on for her.
I think I know who she is. The Six Degrees clue may reffer to the Six Degrees series and obviously, the Miyagui one reffers to Pat Morita. The only actress playing in Six Degrees that has worked with Pat Morita (in Robot Chicken) is....
"She has no lines in common with Mr. Miyagi, but maybe she should." Pat Morita and Erika Christensen didn't really ACT together. Only their voices were used in Robot Chicken. It makes sense to me! :)

You people are all looking at this the wrong way. It's not a Karate Kid link, it's a dialogue link. You should be looking for people who should have made remarks about waxing. I'm thinking Elizabeth Banks, who upon seeing Steve Carell's chest in 40-Year-Old Virgin could have remarked, "Wax on, wax off."
Other possibilities: "No such thing as bad student, only bad teacher. Teacher say, student do." -- Michelle Pfeiffer, Dangerous Minds
"Now use head for something other than target." -- Milla Jovovich, Resident Evil
"Secret to punch, make power of whole body fit inside one inch, here. Power, whole body, one inch, here. Now, punch. Hard. " -- Uma Thurman, Kill Bill
Because of the 'Six Degrees of Separation' line, now if it's NOT Tricia Helfer I'm going to have to kill myself as she's my dream casting for Cersei. Can't make any of the other connections work though.

Hmmmm too obvious...
Getting on the job right away!
"The purple frog howls at the reindeer under the azure moon".
No it doesn't mean anything, but I feel darn good after having said it! :)
So, not exactly out of the realms of possibility... but could she pull off the bitchiness?
*wishes I was a friend of yours...*

I have no idea how she relates, clue-wise, but I just like the idea.
Erika Christensen!!!
Linda Hamilton.
Its a wild guess, but I'm sticking to it.
