Belfast At Last

Late, wet, and bedraggled, but I'm here.

Tomorrow heads will roll. Well, one head, at least.

Have fun - it's going to get wetter. :)
Nov. 1st, 2009 07:11 pm (UTC)
Was just reading about the tremendous downpour going on in Scotland right now. Get yourself warmed up!

Presumably, inclimate weather is the worst thing about being on a shoot like this. What's the best thing about it, I wonder?

It's raining just as hard in Ireland and has been close to natural disaster level for the last three years running, but, first the Scots get it, it's on all the news.

You picked one heck of a day to arrive here. I don't think the rain has stopped all day, and about an hour or two ago the wind became really, really noticeable. BOOOOO

Dear George,
You must be the unluckiest man alive.
Up to last night it was unnaturally warm and yesterday was fabulously sunny (for here)
At least you meet Sean Bean (not that maybe you'd rather have sunshine)

Welcome back to the land of bogs, George. Phipps and I have failed, so far, to further the "cunning plan" but she is dropping by tomorrow and we will scheme away over a nice cup of tea....and yes, maybe a cookie or two. See you soon ;-)
Nov. 2nd, 2009 04:42 am (UTC)
A cookie? Surely you mean a biscuit.

The weather is pretty foul at the moment. Have a wee Bushmills whiskey to warm you up! I'll buy you a few on Tuesday, promise!

Oh my...have fun anyways and supply the guy losing his head with a cuppa tea, will you?:-) He *does* die so well...

Rolling Heads
Sean Bean's perchance?

Horribly exciting. I'm envious! Have great time. Can't wait 'til it's finished so I can watch it!!

Heads rolling
That's what you get for deserting your Brothers!

LOL Someone thinks that Scotland doesn't have bogs? Hehe. Try walking across Rannoch Moor sometime. ;-)

Hopefully, you'll enjoy Dublin, Mr. Martin. :)

Nov. 2nd, 2009 09:34 am (UTC)
Ah! Scottish bogs. Amateur bogs aspiring to the true art of bogness as exemplified by the Irish bog.

Belfast at last
Welcome to our wee part of the world George.
The forecast for tomorrow should suit the scene you are talking about if it is close to Belfast (sunny intervals with some showers).

Script Deviance

In the script, Ned says to Jaime:
"Was it justice you were thinking of when you shoved your spear in the Mad King's back?"
Jaimed Killed Aerys with his Gilded sword did he not? I wonder why the change, it should stay as is in the story.

Re: Script Deviance
if you have a link to the script it might be nice to share

Going to be a Stark boy extravaganza. I wonder what Ice looks like?
Nov. 1st, 2009 10:29 pm (UTC)
later, Gared
nice knowin' you.
Nov. 2nd, 2009 12:41 am (UTC)
I hope the weather holds up. Trudging around Belfast in the wet doesn't sound like too much fun. That said, a few beers down the pub should soon solve that problem. Catch you on Tuesday!
Nov. 2nd, 2009 12:58 am (UTC)
RIP ned :(

Re: awww
I have a suspicion the head doing the rolling will be Gared's. At least today....
Nov. 2nd, 2009 01:14 am (UTC)
So if the series were picked up, any idea when it would begin to air? I'm dying to see it now.
Nov. 2nd, 2009 03:24 am (UTC)
I guess Alfie Allen will be playing some head-footie tomorrow. The line about Theon kicking Gared's head around was the moment I realized I was reading something different than what I was used to in the genre. It was the first real hook for me, even more than "the things I do for love."
Nov. 2nd, 2009 03:56 am (UTC)
Congrats George
Given that the scene that lead to a SoIaF is about to be filmed tomorrow, it must be a surreal, yet profoundly satisfying experience for you to bear witness to this moment.

Congratulations George.

Go get a snug at the Crown. And some cuban coffee at Bell's. It's a strange place, but Belfast has its moments.
Nov. 2nd, 2009 09:01 am (UTC)
Gared's head will roll, won't it? Far too early to be Ned's head baby, Ned's head!
P.S. I think you will find, as far as the weather is concerned, that Winter is coming.
Nov. 2nd, 2009 09:35 am (UTC)
Where have all the babysitters gone?
Three days to go to the dublin moot and I've still not got a 'sitter. If I can't get one... more heads will roll!

(Or I'll turn up with the kids in tow... possibly a wee bit less dramatic...)
