from bad to worse

Wednesday morning in Boston, and matters have gone to bad to worse.

I am feeling much better this morning, though I still have a touch of whatever it was. I'm running at maybe 85% of my old self.

Unfortunately, Parris woke up with a full-blown case of whatever the hell I had. (Guess that proves it was indeed a stomach virus of some sort, and not food poisoning). She's where I was back on Monday morning, which isn't good. We're not going to be able to travel.

We're still trying to figure out what this does to our New York plans. Maybe some of them can be salvaged, but...

Boskone should never have have left the Sheraton. The new con hotel appears to be the Hotel California -- we can check out any time we want, but we can never leave.

So sorry to hear this. My wife and I had the same (or a similar) bug about two months ago. The bad news is that you'll probably feel shaky for another week or so. The good news is, you and Parris will be through the worst of it soon.

On a positive note, I just picked up the Armageddon Rag, and I'm enjoying the hell out of it.

I hope you both get well soon. It's a really miserable type of ailment. You feel so uncomfortable, vulnerable and incapacitated. Not that you need me to tell you that.

How are you coping with the fact that Parris appears to have been right and that your little prawn was simply an innocent nibble?

At moments like this I'm always reminded of the question:

"If a man is in the middle of a forest, 100 miles from the nearest woman, is he still wrong?"

Feel better. Sounds what's been getting passed around here in the NE.

Ugh. I'm glad you're feeling better, but so sorry that she has it now. It's a horrible, horrible virus, and my speediest-recovery wishes go out to you both.

Vindication for my crustaceous brethren!!

I wish Parris as quick a recovery as possible. One should never be trapped for so long in a Con hotel -- unless this punishment for the sins of Cons past.
