2010. Who would believe it? We're in another Arthur C. Clarke novel.

Here's hoping all of you have a great year.

Now that you mention it, indeed. We're living the classics. :)

Happy New Year, George. I can already guess one of your resolutions...it has to do with finishing a certain book!

Relative to Mr. Clarke's vision, we're seriously lagging in the manned-trips-to-Jovian-moons department.

Damn it! Where is the SF technology we're supposed to have? We are seriously lacking. The future is being slow to arrive. (Although the terrible disasters and alien invasions are also not arriving, so all in all it's not so bad...)

Happy New Year! Unlike werthead, I'm less sanguine about seeing Jupiter gain enough mass to become a new star...

Thank goodness the worst decade in my own living memory is finally over (I missed the 1960's by 2 1/2 years of life - I think they might have been worse...), here's to hoping for the very best in this decade and onward towards Clarke's next novel, 2061!

A happy, healthy and productive New Year to you!

Last night I almost died laughing when Theon Greyjoy found out who Esgred was, in Clash of Kings. :-)

Happy New Years
Happy New Years, Ser! Cheers to a year of good books, good food, and good writing (I'm pretty sure those are the three essentials...)

These next ten years should be interesting. Wonder what craziness is waiting for us out there.

Happy New Year!
I hope you have a great New Year, Mr. Martin! I've been enjoying your Ice & Fire novels immensely. I recently bought copies of the Subterranean Press editions of StarLady and Fast-Friend and The Songs of the Dying Earth and am looking forward to reading those next. As for the detractors, ignore them. Your true fans will always be here for you. Keep on doing what you do!

Have an happy new Year!

Last night I dreamed that you will come to Pisa Book Festival 0_o
I live near Pisa (Italy... You know the tower?), but the festival is so small than I think it isn't even known in Italy!!
Ah... strange dreams... :-)

Happy New Years, may your 2010 be filled with happiness and great moments.
On another note..
Just had the distinct displeasure of stumbling upon a hateful blog about ADWD not yet being done. While I am anxiously awaiting it, I just wanted to state a little reminder: We can dwell on the negative all too easily, but when we think about it, the good stuff is always bigger, better and more important!

So, Go GEORGE GO!

Just wishing you and your Lady a most fabulous MMX (I agree with wcgeorge - it is indeed an elegant number, in Roman numerals, too!)

Check out the Waylands forge website, a shop based in Birmingham, it has at least a few of the rpg books for you.

Happy belated New Year, and how about those J-E-T-S, Jets! Jets! Jets!? Cincy really hasn't played well for several weeks now, so I'd give the Jets a good shot at a repeat. Especially with their running game and defense.
