Don't Go Wiggy On Me Now...

... but I have indeed finished that Jon Snow chapter, and I think it doesn't suck.

That doesn't mean the book is done. Still more to write. Just sayin'

Santa Fe has warmed up some and the snow is starting to melt here. I think that may mean I have to go back to Meereen again, at least until another storm blows in.

(Who says writers are superstitious?)

Yay for a finished chapter! Maybe it's time for me to start a re-read in preparation.

Congratulations, George! Every step takes you (and us) a little bit closer which is always a good thing. :)

*ha* Great news that you seem pleased with the chapter. Good luck in Meereen. (please send some of that shit on up here to NYC. The high yesterday was 19F, FFS. *shakes fist*)

Glad to see the snowy weather is an inspiration. Hopefully you will get enough, and no more, to finish John Snow's part of the story.

Thank you so much for your wonderful stories. I'm sorry that people get on your case about not being done yet. I'm very much looking forward to Dance, but I would rather have the best story you can write in your own time than one that is rushed.

Am very tempted to print this out and tape it to my wall in lieu of more traditional Inspirational Writings From Famous Writers On Writering. It makes me hopeful that I, too, although I am from the eternally-made-fun-of state of New Jersey, will be able to move somewhere less goddamn freezing than where I am currently, if I become a published writer!

It is the one thing my college Writers-In-Residence have not been good at, because, in order to be Writers-In-Residence in the freezing bad-weather-vortex that is Worcester, Mass., they have generally tended to live in, like, New Hampshire and shit. I will never live in New Hampshire if I can help it.

PS The title of this post keeps making me crack up laughing.

Yay for progress! :)

Thanks for the update. I'm always happy to hear that there's more Jon Snow in the world.

Nothing but encouragement from me
Cool. Keep up the good work!

Out of curiosity, what order to you work on chapters in? Do you work on them roughly in the order they appear in the book, or do you write one person's entire storyline until you reach a stumbling point, or what? I've always wondered.

Awesome! Continued best wishes that your creativity flows easily from mind to page! :D

Yes! GRRM fans rejoice, he just said "...the book is done." Everyone take to the streets in song and dance! Whooooooooo! There were also some other words in the post but I'm sure they're insignificant. Hallelujah!

On a sidenote, blind hope and selective reading go together quite well.

Sweet! I'm not overly fond of New Mexico summers, but if it'll help with that knot, I'll hope for an early summer.

Awesome job! That's at least 3 chapters done this month. A little bit goes a long way.

"I think that may mean I have to go back to Meereen again, at least until another storm blows in." Can't Meereen have snow too?

In the meantime, keep following those omens.
