The Meereenese Knot...

Spain
... may be fraying, just a little.

But don't quote me on that.

knot...
when the book comes out, I hope you tell us what the knot was... it may not be obvious in the final product.

Re: knot...
I'll hazard a guess it will involve sequences set in Meereen ;-)

Tiny rivulets carve mighty canyons, given time. Keep on eroding away, sir! I look forward to standing on the edge of a beautiful gorge one day.

Off topic, but that was wonderfully poetic.

I've probably checked this page about a hundred times in the last three days. Those 16 words were totally worth it. Best of luck, and thanks as always for the update!

I wonders if the play is on words. Is there a Fray in the knot, or is there a Frey in the knot? After re-reading Feist methinks the Ironborn are the cause of the knot and not the Freys. So, instead of a Fray perhaps it's a Steel knot which would require a torch...would a dragon do?

This knot...
... starts to drive us mad, too. Maybe you should integrate a nod to this famous knod ;-). I'm sure that a famous Alexander-like hero of Valyria's ancient past once traveled to Meereen to untie this precious knot of theirs. And with dragons the real Gordian knot would have been even easier to untie, I presume.

Ding! For The Alexander The Great Reference! Dang it, a year ago I was 50 KM away from the actual site where it happened! But enough about me-Go George!

Every time you mention the Meereenese Knot, I cannot help but imagine you in an armchair surrounded by knitting needles and fighting an angry kitten over a tangled mess of yarn.

That is all. As you were.

Know that you do not toil alone today, sir- I've gotten four thousand good words today, and hope to have twice that many tomorrow.

From the bottom of my heart, I wish you good luck.

Take the Alexanderian approach and hack through that knot with a Valyrian sword!

He tried that some time ago, but the sword bounced back and hit his nose. Must be woven from Shelob-style cobwebs. ;)
