Excited
Heading now to pick it up. Also I was always meaning to ask this but was Robin Hobb the inspiration behind the character named Three-Fingered Hobb?

Already did
This was your best Dunk/Egg story so far. And I dare say that some hints about what may happen in Ice/Fire seem to be contained within...

Mystery Knight was a good read.
Thanks for the new Dunk & Egg story. I love the heraldry in these stories and your descriptions of the knights. I tried to read a couple of the other stories but alas they pale in comparison.

Re: Kindle version?
Do you have a direct link to where you found it? The page I see has no Kindle option: http://www.amazon.com/Warriors-George-R-R-Martin/dp/0765320487

Re: Kindle version?
That is very strange, Jay. I bought it directly from my Kindle. It came up as #1 when I searched for it on my Kindle.

I can no longer find it via my DX, though. It shows as "Not currently available" when I look at the properties of the book.

Was this incorrectly set for publication on Kindle and pulled and I simply got lucky when I ordered it? I have the full book on my Kindle DX. Why they removed it is beyond me to explain.

Anxiously awaiting mine.
I ordered through Amazon and they sent notice that they were shipping on Sunday, but from Kentucky, which unfortunately is not too close to where I live.

I had no trouble waiting as long as necessary for the book to be finished, but now that it's here, the few days I have to wait is killing me. (The mind works in strange ways sometimes).

Loved the story, loving the book
Glendon Flowers - Knight of the Pussywillows.
*laughs*

Great characters. Thanks for the back story.

I'm enjoying some of the other stories too. (Of course)

I also loved your intro. Couldn't agree more.

I'll see if I can track each of you for a signing.
Twould be an impressive book then with all those signatures.

the hedge knight
The hedge knight was the first thing i ever ready by you. your by far my favorite author. A new dunk and egg novel and HBO green lighting A GAME OF THRONES things just cant get any better.

I took the day off work tomorrow because that is when my copy of warriors arrives from Amazon. I read somewhere that there is a two year holding period before the story can be made into a comic (this is a good idea everyone should read the real story before they read the comic) so in two years I should be able to buy the comic version of THE MYSTERY KNIGHT right? O.K. enough rambling.

what I really wanted to ask about its digital versions of the graphic novels. I got a few apps for my iphone that let you buy and read comics. The one i really like just put out an email that marvel comics are now fully supported in this format. So will I get to download the graphic novel versions of THE HEDGE KNIGHT and THE SWORN SWORD on my phone some time in the near future?

Bloch Story
Great collection. Not a bad story in the book.

Although an enjoyable and well written story, I felt the "Clean Slate" link to the central theme was a bit tenuous. How did you and Gardner decide that it fit?

Loved the Dunk and Egg story! LOVED IT. It was great to get to go back to Westeros, even if it isn't 1300 pages worth yet, or whatever Dance turns out to be.

Now for the rest of the book before going back to read it again...

Picked a copy up and can't wait to dig in, but a quick question...

Why is the book jacket different from your picture in this post? You're not listed as an author on the cover I have, just as editor. Weird.

Kindle Edition of Warriors
I just "picked up" my copy of Warriors via my Kindle DX.

I have to say that I buy a hell of a lot more books with my Kindle than I ever did at the store.

Loving it so far. Who can resist an Anthology edited by Dozois and George R.R. Martin?

By the way, does anyone know if Kindle purchases count toward NYT Hardcover bestsellers? I hope Amazon reports my Kindle purchase as +1 toward Warriors hitting the NYT HC Best Seller list.

Ask on the Westeros board. Someone there may know. I don't, myself. I believe Westeros has a topic for WARRIORS.

Got my copy. Barnes and Noble had it hidden away somewhere. went into the store, looked everywhere and couldn't find it. Had to call from work and have them pull it and hold it for me. Picked it up at lunch time. 3 stories into it and so for it's excellent reading. I'm up to the part with the eyelids cut off. Good job, George!!!

The Mystery Knight
I just finished reading the story from the anthology and felt compelled to post how great it is. I love Game of Thrones, and at the risk of being flamed, after Dance I have more anticipation for Dunk and Egg stories (even up to what happened at Summerhall) then even volumes 6 & 7. The Hedge Knight and his Squire are that amazing to read.

Warriors Kindle
I REALLY wish that there was a Kindle version of Warriors. I wanted to take this along to Jamaica next week on my Kindle, but no such luck. As I have over 2500 books jamming my house right now, I have had to limit purchasing actual paper books (sadly)

Uh... I believe there IS a Kindle version of WARRIORS. Several of my readers have mentioned buying it that way.

I am no expert on things Kindle, however. Couldn't tell you how to find it.

Re: Warriors Kindle
There was a Kindle option listed during pre-order and apparently also during the first day or two of release. I meant to pick up a copy (having no room left for hardcovers) but failed to do so and now all I'm seeing is the option to "Tell the Publisher! I’d like to read this book on Kindle."
