If you've got HBO...

... be sure and watch the third season premiere of TRUE BLOOD tonight, for a little taste of what's coming on HBO, including (yes) A GAME OF THRONES.

In fact, you might want to tune in fifteen minutes early, to catch the pre-premiere feature. I'm not exactly sure when the GOT teaser will run. Before the pre-show, as part of the pre-show, between the pre-show and premiere... I'll be TIVOing the whole shebang myself.

(And for those of you who DON'T get HBO... sorry. You snooze, you lose).

I would never miss True Blood!

Is A Game of Thrones going to bring the juicy sex and ultraviolence like my beloved True Blood?

I'm guessing you're not familiar with the books? Maybe found this post searching for info on True Blood? That's cool, just curious.

The answer to your question is, yes! The books are full sex and ultraviolence and by all accounts (and George can tell you better than any of us fans here could), the show will hew pretty close to those books in that regard. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Times being as tight as they are I'll have to wait until GOT premiers before I'll subscribe to HBO. And then it will soley be to see my favorite story come to life on screen. Maybe somebody will put the teaser on Youtube for us poor unfortunates.

Is it before the new episode or before the first aired episode? They're showing like 4 episodes today....

Well, seeing as I can't afford cable and pay my bills after not getting a raise for four years in a row, guess I'll be missing the premier.

it's not the premiere
just a little taste. If you can access the HBO channel on YouTube, it will likely turn up there at some point. If your finances can't take adding a HBO subscription next year, maybe you can setup a viewing party among friends that do have HBO, and folks can bring the popcorn and snacks. Think of the fun you'd have if a couple of those friends hadn't read the books and went straight to the television show.

I'll definitely have to buy the series once it's out on DVD though!

Excuse me while I go cry about not having HBO.

Though, as was mentioned already, it will hopefully be on YouTube tomorrow. *crosses fingers*

Congrats, George, on having your future unfold! :)

teaser
Is this still a BBC HBO co-production? If so we should be getting the teaser in the UK as well. I pay my TV license and some of that is going toward this co- production. Where is my teaser?

Hey George
are you worried about your legion of fans who don't have HBO, and won't have it by the time GOT premiers, some of which will seek to illegally download it?

Hmm, hopefully it shows up (legally) on the internet somewhere, we're waiting to pay for cable again when aGoT comes on the air!

It is times like these that I wish I could subscribe to HBO without having to first pay for a cable plan... I mean seriously, apart from The Daily Show and Cartoon Network cable t.v. is totally worthless. But boy oh boy do I wish I could get HBO. I guess I will just have to wait 2 years to see GOT, (1 year for it to actually premiere, and then another year for it to come out on DVD.) I am sure it will be well worth the wait.

If you don't like cable, there's always satellite.

I'm with DirecTV myself. Not only HBO, but also NFL Sunday Ticket!

After a frame by frame breakdown of all 8 seconds of footage, trying to make out scenes and digest whatever little bit I could from it... the hunger for this series has just grown exponentially. Sean Bean's voiceover, of course, declaring Winter is Coming... gahh! This is awesome and torturous all at once!

Sean Beans says...
