Three for Three

This time at least it required a second round of clues. But you folks continue to be scary good. Obviously you know every actor and actress in the world, and have seen every film and television show ever made, no matter how obscure.

(Either that, or you've been using this new-fangled thing called the interweb. It's made of tubes, I hear).

Anyway, yes, you got it. Dany's handmaid Irri will be played by AMRITA ACHARIA (spelled Acharya on some sites, but I have it with the "i," and she seems to be the same person).



Her initials, obviously, are AA. Twelve steps, get it?

She has been acclaimed for her performance in a play called ELEVATOR (ups and downs):

A photo of her is featured on a website called My Glass Eye, and she has also appeared in a film called THE DEVIL'S DOUBLE (I used devil as a clue) and another called COLLECTABLES (which I almost used as a clue).



She's young, she's lovely, she's talented, and she's Irri. It is known.

You know, it wasn't until you started doing these posts, with photos of everyone, that I realized just how many characters there are in this series.

Makes me sort of wonder how I managed to keep them all straight all these years.

Man, I can see myself drooling every time Dany's entourage appears.
Each one of those ladies is incredibly beautiful. Irri's my personal favourite so far, she looks so innocent and sweet. I can totally see her with her wide eyes, looking at Dany and saying "it is known!"

Good to see an actress of Indian descent on this series. In my mind I imagined people from the East (Dothraki, etc.) looking Middle Eastern and African. Hopefully there are more actors/actresses of color in this series. The only other one I can think of is the one playing Khal Drogo. I know most of the characters are Caucasian, but it seemed like there were many races in this world. I hope that's represented in the TV series.

The remake 80 years from now will have lots of brown people. Until then just accept the pink folks. It's still their world and folks even in darkest Africa and India want to see Eurostyled people on screen and print. So until then you can settle for Shaka Zulu and maybe Karma Sutra.

Is it just me, or are Dany's handmaidens a bit more attractive than Dany herself??? Just speculation, I know. But I wanted to see what GRRM's Army thought. Fire away with some comments!
