Well, I made it to Dublin. My hotel does not have a business center, so I am typing this at an internet cafe on the banks of the Liffey. BWB dinner tomorrow night, and Octocon this weekend.

The trip was gruelling, as ever. Where are the rocket planes I was promised in my youth?

Glad I'm here.

Hi There,

At one point you thought you were going to make a brief foray into London and perhaps other cities in the UK. Is that still on your to-do list, or have the other destinations been dropped?

Would love to get a chance to meet you if you happen to be sticking around for a bit! But, given everything that's been going on, I know I - and the rest of your fans in the UK - will understand if you are no longer able to make it.

Here, but it'll cost you a pretty penny ($200,000 round trip), and I don't think they've yet opened a route to Dublin... ;)

Welcome to Paradise! Hope to see you (and everybody!) at the dinner tomorrow evening.

We had rocket planes, sorta, but the Concorde wasn't able to make enough money.

On the other hand, we've got voice-activated personal communicators that were the stuff of those stories you read. One technology at a time.

Besides - I'm not sure I want flying cars. Rush hour traffic is already bad enough in two dimensions - I'm not quite ready to be run off the side of the sky by someone not trying to talk, eat and *fly* at the same time.

Rocket planes are still in design
But we do have laptops today :P

You should add another tag to that - "time-travel".

NASA crashed your rocket plane!

Well, Robert Langdon used Lockheed Martin X-33 in "Angels and Demons" so you might try that next time :)

PS. Visit the Jameson distillery if you're into whisky.

Well, since you're posting from November 12, a month in the future, I'd guess your plane traveled a bit faster than you maybe thought. If faster than sound travel is supersonic, would faster than time travel be superchronic?

Cripes, we just finished celebrating (Canadian) thanksgiving, and you're already a day past Remembrance Day!

Anyhow, enough about date glitches in the system - enjoy your trip & I hope you make it back from the future safely.

PS. They finally aired the new "Raven" teaser on HBO Canada last Sunday (first time I saw it anyhow) and wow, I thought I was already completely stoked...

November the 12th?
And you managed to travel to the future!, tell us, what can we expect at that time?

Apparently going to Dublin put you 1 month into the future. Wild.

I left Dublin yesterday! I saw you were going to the Con and I am sad I missed it :( Dublin's weather was fantastic, I hope you enjoy your stay and taste some good Irish Stew!!! :D

Hope you enjoy your stay. Maybe Jules Verne pushed our hopes way too high :P.

P.D: Seems you put "November" instead of "October" in the date.
