Meh, six months is too long. I don't think that I'm patient enough for that. I've read the books twice and will finish the last two long before the show is out. A few of my friends that have never read the books are excited after seeing some trailers. It will be especially cool to watch of with them since they'll be experiencing it for the first time, and the books make some very unexpected turns that they will never see coming.

I'm curious if they will be doing a lot of work with dream sequences and/or flashbacks. The books have many dream sequences and quite a few moments that would make perfect flashback moments.

The only thing I'm worried about is if they will continue the series to the end. I'd hate for it to get cut short or get rushed through like season two of Rome. I'm also curious how they would handle future seasons. They could potentially do one season per book, but what if they run through all the material before all the books are finished.

Either way the news of this series has me bouncing off the walls with excitement

Gotta admit I'm excited about this series. All around some stellar choices for the cast, especially Dany. Emilia Clark one-ups the original pick, Kitty Howard from Tudors. Can't wait to see some special effects in the next trailer.

It's been what, six years since Feast came out? I remember actively following the news of ASOIAF back in 2004 or 2005 pre-Feast release. Too bad you couldn't do the onionskin/tome idea and not split the books. Gilded pages, maybe some nice grayscale John Tenniel-like illustrations. Who gives a damn if it would have been 2 thousand pages.

Anyway, can't wait for the series, and looking forward to Dance.

Syrio Forel
Do we know who's been cast as Syrio Forel yet?

Stanley Tucchi... that would be perfect.

Thank you so much for posting this link! I am so looking forward to this series and hope, fingers and toes crossed, that a channel here in Australia will pick up the series and show it over here. If not I'm going to have to wait for the DVD I guess, there will be one I hope.. Anyways everything I've seen so far looks amazing, I think the casting of the many characters has been exceptional and the locations look as I have pictured it in my mind as I was reading the books. I saw someones comment that they wanted the scenes to be darker, more sinister I suppose, but I don't agree on that. I get very annoyed and bored with series and movies in which you can't see what is going on half the time because it is so dark. Please keep the lightning guy ;) Thanks again for the link and keeping us posted on what is going on with my all time favorite books and yeah I'm still waiting patiently on the next installment. Kind Regards, Marjon
