Cool New Maisie Video

The latest installment in the "Artisans" series.



Maisie is amazing. As are Sophie and Isaac, who play Sansa and Bran. The kids haven't been featured in any of the teasers or trailers to date, but I think you're going to love them once the show hits the air.

I will say honestly, I haven't read the books YET, but to know that you are so excited about the show coming out makes me and I'm sure other fans THAT much MORE excited!!!

Needle needafied?
Maisie is doing a great job! Small gripe, but is it me or has needle gotten shorter and even more.. needle like as the hilt's gone; can't exactly slash with a blade like that.

The TV show has gone with something pretty explicitly in the style of a small sword, which is certainly not what was described in the novel. Valyrian Steel's version, with GRRM's direct input, looked more like this in Maisie's hands. (That said, while some small swords relied purely on the point, I think most non-ceremonial examples have edges, so they could give a nasty cut.)

I hope so. The Stark children and their journey (or rather journies) is definitely one of my favourite parts of the books.

Stick 'em with the pointy end! Thanks...that was a refreshing taste...makes me wonder what kind of music they are dancing to. Really looking forward to being completely immersed into the world of Ice & Fire on the small screen

I was a bit worried that maybe she was too pretty a little girl to be the rather plain Arya, but seeing her enthusiasm and seriousness about the role has made me feel more comfortable. She looks to be a great choice.

Maisie is perfect for the role. What amazing work ethic for such a young actor! Its weird; they did away with details like Dany's eye colour but then made the poor girl learn with her left hand just for posterity! A detail I didn't even know was IN the books! (and I've read them all...allot!)

Wow, I'm really happy with Maisie as Arya! I didn't know what she was like before this, but she seems very smart and like she can definitely take on this role. So very excited!

She is awesome, and I like so much that she wanted to learn her sword fights left-handed like Arya, although she's right-handed.

She *is* Arya. She and Dinklage were the best casts in the history of...uh, casting. She looks like she's doing an incredible job. I can't wait.

As excited as I was about Jason Momoa, Sean Bean, and Peter Dinklage, it's looking more and more like Maisie Williams might be the breakout star of the cast. The kid's adorable.

Game of Thrones
Not sure if I can wait the 3 months (or longer since I don't have HBO). Any chance of this show streaming on Netflix after it's aired? Spartacus has done that which has been awesome since I don't have the Starz network either.

Not any time soon. HBO has been very uninterested in Netflix, feeling that it undermines their core subscription business while giving Netflix a boost.

I believe they have in the past released shows on iTunes, but only after the season is completed.

That said, Netflix has vowed to make another attempt to convince HBO to let them stream their content. Good luck to them.

I train in Lameco Eskrima... which is a Filipino martial art that involves stick and blade fighting. As of late though, I've been requesting more and more sword work.. and getting strange looks from my instructor when I refer to it was "Water Dancer" class. Hehehehe.

Needless to say, I loooove this video. I can't get over how perfect Maisie is for Arya!! :)

Is that girl even real?! Did someone cast a dark spell to summon the perfect child actress from the depths of our collective imagination? 'Cause, if so, it was worth it and they can be forgiven.

So crazy about this kid already. Can't wait to see her playing or posing with Nymeria.
