I may have been guilty of premature froggery in the "Hiya, Kids" post below.
Second season casting is in full swing, yes.
And we're close on a few roles. Choices made, that is to say, but now we wait on HBO approval, and then of course we have to make a deal. Not all deals close, much as you would like them to. There's budget to consider, scheduling, all sorts of things.
On other roles, well, we've seen a lot of readings, but we're not in love yet. So the auditions continue. In Ireland, in London, even in LA.
Bottom line: no one has been cast yet, so stop holding your breath.
When we do sign some new cast, Froggy will give you the hints.
(Unless someone else breaks the news first).
((Or unless it's after June 13. That's the day I leave for Poland. I'll be out of the loop while overseas, so after that date, the announcements are more like to come from elsewhere)).

Peter and I wanted to tell you that we are enjoying the series totally and look forward to the second season as well.
They did a good job filming the impossible.

As a viewer, though, I am loving the series. :) It's a fantastic complement to the books!
It has been a rough couple of centuries for Poland but it is always beautiful and the people remain warmhearted and proud.
I hope you enjoy you trip. If your lovely wife is going with you, don't forget to take her to the flower market - there is one in every major urban center.
It's amazing to me I've read these books so many times and then I see an episode like tonight's and it somehow makes me hate Littlefinger even more! There's something to be said for that.
Please, tell us Brynden Tully will be in the new season! Its my favorite character in the books. :)
I know the University of Warsaw's scifi&fantasy people would love if you could give a guest lecture, but we understand the schedule must be very tight... it's a pity though since no one is able to tell if you are ever going to visit again.
can You give us a schedule for Your visit in Poland? Where and when will we be able to see and talk to You?
Congratulations on an excellent TV series, worthy of the books and that's saying a lot! Your books are by far my favourites amongst many, being a fan of Robert Jordan, Joe Abercrombie and Tad Williams as well, to name a few.
I've been nail-biting ever since earlier this winter when I heard Iceland was in the frame for "Clash of Kings"-locations. It'd be a dream come true, first dreamt as soon as I started reading the series years ago. You'll never find a better place to shoot scenes from beyond the wall, clear lagoons layered with icebergs, glaciers smoking or non-smoking, black sands seemingly without end, low midnight suns, boiling pools and geysers - YOU NAME IT!
PLEASE check out some scenery from there - I don't dare post anything here for fear of it being deleted as spam.
Ned Stark hands Robert's last will scroll to Ser Barristan.
Barristan says something like "King Robert's seal is not damaged"
And then SLIDES the scroll out of the seal without breaking it!
