He knew Indiana Jones, has hung with droids and jedi, thrice contended for a Larry, winning once. He's been a knight (often), an archbishop (twice), a dean, a priest, a doctor.

Oliver Ford Davies? Wikipedia says he's been an archbishop twice, he was in Star Wars, he was in the Young Indiana Jones chroncile, he's been a deacon and a knight and a doctor and so on. And twice nominated for the Laurence "Larry" Olivier Award!

Given his age, I'd guess Cressen? He'd make a fine Ser Denys Mallister, too, if for some reason he was brought in early. Or Lord Hoster?

Derek Jacobi has been poisoned a fair bit in various roles, as was Cressen :-)

Great choice if true. I was holding out for Roy Dotrice as Cressen, but I suppose this means he can now get a bigger role later on :-)

Sorry, I meant that Jacobi has been poisoned onscreen a lot, as Cressen had, so Cressen was the character, not Hoster or Mallister. I was agreeing that Davies was the most likely actor.
