Re: I know...
I don't think you understand the term 'double threat'. it's a term used in theater to describe someone that can act and sing. a triple threat can act, sing, and dance. that could still be the murderous twin guy, but that's just how the term is normally used. hmmmmm

Re: Roose Bolton
Little Malcom and His Struggle Against the Eunuchs - "he struggled against the Spider's sort" (ie Eunuchs). sounds like a solid choice!

Sean Astin
Sean Astin's character fought Shelob in LOTR. He was born in Santa Monica, and was in The Sky Is Falling, which I haven't seen but I found through search that there is a santa claus character. Maybe they fought? Not sure about the other clues yet.

Unlikely. He's only appeared twice, and both times in Feast. Why would they yank him forward 2+ years?--what would that add to the narrative?

I think the "last seen dancing home" clue refers to Roose Bolton heading back north in A Dance with Dragons!

could it be John Malkovich?
he stared at burn after reading so he cant read the same book twice; and he was ofered the roll of green goblin on spider-men, he plays as himself on who wants to be john malkovich, and he would be an excelent roose bolton

It should be noted that House Gatewatch over at Winter-is-Coming came up with Michael McElhatton literally minutes after WIC posted the casting clue. In the THIRD COMMENT. :)

He has Bolton's cold, calculating eyes.

Congratulations, all. Or rather, some.

You've solved another one.

It's the distinguished Irish actor MICHAEL MCELHATTON. He will indeed be playing pale-eyed Roose Bolton, Lord of the Dreadfort.
