Season Two - the Starks

I've saved the Starks for last. Scattered through the lands of Westeros, we have

THE LADY OF WINTERFELL

Catelyn Stark played by Michelle Fairley-Helen Sloan/HBO

THE HOSTAGE

Sansa Stark played by Sophie Turner-Helen Sloan/HBO

A STARK IN WINTERFELL

Bran Stark; Hodor played by Issac Hempstead-Wright ; Kristian Nairn-Helen Sloan/HBO

ARRY THE ORPHAN BOY

Arya Stark played by Maisie Williams-Helen Sloan /HBO

And that's it for now.

Enjoy... and remember... winter is coming, and so is season two. Time to get HBO!

I can't believe my first thought was 'Where is Ned?'... Yeah. >_>

That said, however... Bran and 'Arry' look amazing! It's astounding how masculine (but still so cute) Arya/Maisie looks in that picture.

I'm so excited! Arya (and her actress) are probably the best things that have come to my TV-life since The X-Files. I really want to see how Maisie handles this season :D

Great pics! Thank you for sharing. I just ordered the 1st season on DVD (don't have HBO) and will order the next one when it comes out. I am glad that you are happy with the series. I take it they did well?

My favourite group of characters. And I have a feeling I might regret investing in any of the surviving characters when s2 come around. lol. Cannot wait! :)

My, hasn't Maisie grown since we first saw her in season one? Girl looks bigger! Psst, Mr. Martin, that means you have to get a move on in writing or we'll end up with a six-foot tall Arya Stark! (But don't ever ever EVER replace her though!)

Ahh the Starks...:)

Looks great! My only 'fear' for the series is what if the actors for Bran & Arya age too fast? I doubt it'll be a problem...the books are my fave, but the show is VERY good.

While I love all the actors in the Stark family, and think they're all brilliant, Maisie as Arya is just wow, so perfect! And since Arya is my very favourite character in the entire book series, I'm just so happy that the people who cast the HBO series found her, I think she's going to be able to bring Arya into all her worlds....

Sansa is my favorite ASoIaF character (after poor Ned); and this photo of Sansa is indeed a heartbreaker; she is so very much alone and at the mercy of Horrible Joffrey. (I do like her outfit, though)

Going nuts about the wanderings of Arya!
Reading through to Feast of Crows (one fourth of the way thus far) I am going nuts over Arya's wanderings! I am so impressed by her resourcefulness, but I want her to make it to Jon at least.

Speaking of Starks...the Irrelevant Show on CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, sort of like Canada version of a cross between the BBC and NPR) had a short skit based upon the Game of Thrones....where Lord Eddard Stark becomes the pitchman for "Gum of Thrones" which has "all of the excitement of a battle between warring families in your mouth" and "more bite than a direwolf!"

You can listen to it here, it starts around 10:15 into the show:

I can't get over how much Maisie looks like the image I had of 'Arry' in my head when I read the book. This girl is a real talent.

Great casting. As everyone has said, Massie is the perfect Arya. My fave Stark is Sansa and Sophie does a great job with her. She is everybit as perfect a fit as Massie is for Arya. It will be very interesting to see how Joffery and Sansa are played in season two, and how they will come across on the TV screen.
