How exactly does one get to do this sort of thing? Is it a matter of "right time, right place" or is there a sign-up somewhere? The quote that people would do this "for love of the series/books" is pretty much right on and the chance to be a part of something would be amazing.

Pretty amazing to actually think about how much work goes into this and how many people are required to pull it off. Easily glanced over until you are reminded with something like this. Their production timeframe is then appreciated that much more...

It's actually incredible that HBO churns these out as fast as they do!

You could totally show up in a cameo role each season, a la Hitchcock. Although I would be happy if you played Wyman Manderly, he's such a badass.

FULL METAL JOUSTING, a new show on the History Channel. These guys are certifiable! You can read about jousts, but NOTHING prepares you for the visual reality, and the sound, of it. AMAZING! Gives you anew respect for the knights of old.

I was wondering, what does it feel like to have so many people working so hard to make your world come to life? From the executives and the stars to the extras and all the crew it takes to put this show together I cant imagine what that would be like to see all those people dedicated to something that was my creation.

You were just an EXTRA?!?! You need to be in a more prominent role, as author of the original work. Was not Stephen King cast as Teddy Weizak in the miniseries The Stand?

I work part time as an extra in Toronto, being on GoT would be like a dream come true! I squealed with joy when I saw this video posted. hehe!
