I read "Sandkings" in Omni Magazine way back when (early 80's I think). I just now connected it with you! I loved that story, and have told many people about it over the years, but couldn't remember the author. It is possible, that in a box in the attic, I still have that copy of Omni.

I'm glad you made it home safely from your trip.

I'm glad to hear your back. Not all is quite on the home front. While you were away Eli Manning turned into a fairy and is hanging out with Deon Sanders. lol. I guess money knows no bounds. By the way, in case your wondering hanging out with Deon is worse than dressing like a fairy.

Seeing how you are such a big tolkien fan,how do you feel about the hobbit adaptation being split into a trilogy?

I have devoured your Game of Thrones books recently; I would like to thank you for your excellent work, the rhythm of the prose and story line are impeccable.

The balance you strike between the absolutely real and the magical also ensnares me, it is a style I love.

I have been working hard for the past few years to put myself in a position to be able to write myself, your style fascinates me and although I do write fantasy our story lines are quite different.

I can imagine you are an extremely busy individual yourself, however I would like to ask a small favour, I am looking for a mentor, I would be eternally grateful if that could be you, yet I understand that this may be unlikely, however maybe you could suggest someone?
