Inside the HBO Show

enthroned
Brian Cogman's "making of" book, INSIDE HBO'S GAME OF THRONES, is scheduled for publication on September 25, and is now available for preorder from your favorite bookstore.

HBO has released a promotional video for the book. Cool stuff here. Enjoy.

Brian has been a part of the series since the very beginning -- he was the first person David and Dan hired when they got the go-ahead from HBO -- and he's done a terrific job of telling all the "behind the scenes" stuff.

And there's a preface by me too, if you're into that.

Happy reading.

I am greatly anticipating the release of "Inside HBO's Game of Thrones". I had read your book's initially and have been completely enthralled ever since. What a treat it was to find out that a series was in the works. I have to admit,I have been hooked ever since. I can't wait for next season, hmmm maybe you could even find a way to bring Khal Drogo back to life? Oh, I do miss the connection between Khal and Daenarys.

I'll have to pick that up. There is some explaining to do on season 2. While it was good, some things from the book should have been included. Especially Reek.

I pre-ordered my copy MONTHS ago and I can't wait to have it in my hands! Christmas is going to come a few months early for me!

Thank You
Your world is wonderful.

Nothing is better than the ability to move people by the words one chains together. Amazing what 26 little letters can transform into once applied by an experienced hand.

I am so looking forward to future editions of a wonderful tale.

Would I should one day meet you at a signing. Would be a first for both of us :).

Ever Friendly,

Greetings from New York
Very interesting stuff, George. Thank you for posting it. It must be quite a thrill to see such passionate animation of the brilliance you've created.

I had my fiancee reserve a copy for me on amazon for my birthday - that and season 1.

We are also having a GOT's wedding (he's dressing as Ned Stark and me as Cat Tully). We have the cloaks and I'm making a blue with embroidered muddy red trout favor for him.

This might be the wrong place to ask but where can I download "Tales of Dunk and Egg?". I was hoping to get them through iBooks where I purchased ASOIAF but had no luck.

You need to find the three published tales in three different anthologies. They have not yet been collected.

I answered this in more detail below.

Thanks. Looks like I'm about to buy some anthologies. I have an iTunes gift card burning a hole in my pocket:). I'll also grab some of your other books. It probably gets old being asked about ASOIAF.
