So the complete backstory of the wall, famous heroes from ages past, origins of the others, etc. Tolkien did what 3000 years? You should do 10,000 :)

Mr. Martin,

What authors have inspired you most along your creative journey?

Hope all goes well in building our history lessons to come.

Ser, I'll be happy for all and any novellas, novels, or even better entire trilogies, that manage to pop out of the working end of your pens. Keep writing, please!

fake history is AWESOME!! Will it come with more maps and pictures?
'cause fake~history needs plenty of fake-locations documenting and fake-Kings portraits!

ASoIaF content which you can write at your discretion and will, expanding whatever you want, without the daunting continuity and complete convergence efforts required in the main series? Sounds like a good threat. :)

To be entirely honest, as a "customer", the World of Ice and Fire is a book I only plan to buy after the main series (save for charity drives or the like). Don't mean any criticism by this - I am quite certain I will buy it and enjoy it thoroughly - it's only that I'd rather savor "past" Westeros history "on its own", not just in a mind to look for clues and hints towards "future" Westeros history.

After Dream of Spring though? I'll gobble this up like Lucky Charms, and the more sidebars-turned-novellas the better. :)

I think The World of Ice and Fire will very much "grow in the selling" as the main series converges to closure...

Great News!
Can't wait to read it. The Dunk and Egg stories really got me interested in the Westeros imaginary history before GOT. I hope the 4th Dunk and Egg is coming soon as well.

RE: Awesome!
I hope the world book will include information about the other side of the world. At least acknowledge that we will learn what's beyond the Sunset Sea in the world book.

The kneeling knight
Looking forward to this imaginary history.

I suggest that you somehow incorporate either a kneeling knight (aka Tebow) or leader of the kings guard (QB) controversy since the NFL season is about to start. You might as well add in something about the Jets. :)
