Is this for the book you're doing with Elio and Linda?
I hope so; I've been looking forward to that. I love history, even fake history.

The history of the world you've created is part of the reason I'm so looking forward to this.

Fake history's what got me interested in real history.
Similarly, the appendices at the end of Lord of the Rings are what got me into world building in AD&D, which in turn got me into spreadsheets and HTML and other marketable skills when computers became available.

(I think there probably have been more RPG worlds made than there have been actual (tabletop) RPG players.)

However, what got me interested in current events was Tom Lehrer and MAD Magazine.

This is the BEST NEWS. YES PLEASE.

I majored in Medieval History in Uni, but by Jove, I think I'm starting to know more about Westeros! (AND I LOVE IT.)

Oh dear, it appears I'm going to be throwing myself into the realm of fantasy once more. (I'm not really complaining, I think if it could be so, I'd live in Westeros myself).

I hope that my novel can engage so many avid readers one day.
Look forward to more posts and books Mr. George,
Matt Peacock.

I wouldn't mind living in Westros, but they need to improve the indoor plumbing before I move. That and the general attitude towards women.

re;
Can't wait. I am doing the same in my first novel. So much thought goes into creating a starting point. Thank you for being such an outstanding inspiration.

All the fake genealogy got me into my real genealogy... and fake history is even MORE fun (particularly when it includes dragons!).

I would pay to spectate you writing.
With a "W" painted on my chest and four other dudes drinking beer in your office with R-I-T-E drawn on them respectively.

Basically what I came here to say. "A Song of Ice and Fire" is so the wrong series for people who don't like fake history. (It's a good thing I adore quality world-building.)
