This is my first time posting here. I would just like to thank you Mr. Martin for writing A Game of Thrones. That book was able to get me through perhaps the most depressing time of my life and gave me something to look forward to read when I was surrounded by sadness in my life. You have no idea just how much hearing a funny joke from Tyrion or reading about Arya and Syrio chasing cats was able to brighten my day during this period of time. Thank you so very much Mr. Martin for writing the book and congratulations on your Hugo Award. You earned it
