Lost another one.

Not unexpected, but still...

The parties were fun, though.

Next week, after the Giants play the Eagles, I hope you repeat this post verbatim.

Still a winner!
So lame, I was booing the TV when you guys (and Peter!) didn't win.

Better luck next year! We all know that some amazing storylines will be coming up once they get into Book 3 (the best book in your series, in my opinion!). I'm holding on to the hope that you guys will get an Emmy before the show is through!

GoT is always a winner in my book, Mr. Martin. As are you. *hugs*

Remember the Olympic principle? Participation is what matters!

Besides, you've already won that one in our hearts a long time ago, so...

In season 3 you'll won, it is known
Surely in season 3 you'll won, with the red wedding and all.

You wouldn't happen to be @ a cafe in Ohio would you? I either saw you or someone who dressed exactly like you. I sadly never got the chance to ask to see if it was you. So I gotta know. Was it you?

Glad you had a good time, even if the Emmy electors are too blind to see quality.
Sep. 24th, 2012 10:49 pm (UTC)
They don't know what they're doing. Just look at 60% of the other wins! I mean, seriously, Best Comedic Actor?!

You have the love and recognition of your fans, people are having GOT parties with medieval food and I bet the DVDs are selling spectacularly, not to mention how many people are buying the books(I wish I had a dollar for every person I have seen reading one n my way to and from work). Emmys would be nice, but not necessary. Original Star Trek went without more than one or two for makeup and look how well that has done. :-)

Uh. "Phrases a Doctor says?"
Sep. 24th, 2012 11:26 pm (UTC)
hey dude! can't win em all. But don't listen to all the people who keep harping at you to finish your book. You will get it done when you get it done right? You can't rush the creative process. I am sure you will wrap up all the answers I have about the other 5 books. But, hey thanks for being such a cool dude and writing such neat books I wish I had discovered them so much earlier in life. Oh well, such is life as they say. Enjoy your life you have earned it in spades right? Peace and love dude!

Yes,honestly it was a pitty,I wanted so much that Game of Thrones win the two categories!!At least it won 6 technical awards. And the other thing that put me sad is that in the red carpet i didn't see you George and no one from the show except Lena Headey (and not even she was interviewed by the "E" guys).

I knew there was a reason I never watch the Emmys.

Glad you had fun at the parties! :)
Sep. 25th, 2012 12:17 am (UTC)
I'm sorry, but you have a lot of years ahead of you with an awesome AND popular show... so hang in there! I don't think the Emmys can ignore GoT forever.

After all, you have EVERYONE reading your books!

It is, I sincerely hope, a commercial and clout boost just to be nominated.

As Damian (what's his name) says.. "Art should not be a competition"!!!
Try not to feel bad about the losses. The Game of Thrones HBO Series that is one of your beautiful babies is BRILLIANT! The idea, the writing, the Production design, the Costume Design, the acting, the locations, everything, everything about the series is phenomenal. Sheer brilliance!!
I"m sorry, no disrespect to Breaking bad Aaron, I am always happy to see the new guy win, but really...how can they even compare Peter Dinklage to his work? That was a terribly odd "competition" for the majority. Yes, Claire D and Damian the Brit, definitely deserved their wins for their performances(imho), but, clearly the Emmy's is more of a "popularity" competition than a real example of what is great talent. I was VERY disappointed GoT did not win anything as well as "Girls" (a personal fave of mine next to GoT).

I'm sad you guys are sad though.

Hip Hip Hooray to Westeros!!!

Re: As Damian (what's his name) says.. "Art should not be a competition"!!!
Game of Thrones utterly freaking conquered the technical categories (which were not in the primetime broadcast) - it won for Art Direction, Costuming, Outstanding Makeup, Sound Editing, Sound Mixing, and Special Visual Effects.

Well hopefully if season 3 contains RW, you may very well have a better shot next year!

The only reason why I started watching the emmy's is because of GOT. All of us long time fans know whats up. I'm not sure how it works, but I was hoping Alfie Allen would have been a consideration for an award as well. His 2nd season Theon was so great. This year was tough. Congrats on the nominations.
Sep. 25th, 2012 04:55 am (UTC)
Needless-to-say, the best show doesn't always win! Better luck next year.
