Last Day in LA

space geezer
Meetings, meetings, meetings. BReakfasts, lunches, dinners, drinks. Agents, producers, directors.

I'm tired.

Tomorrow I go home. It will be nice to be back at my own desk again.

Hope all this meeting and eating leads to something cool down the line.

Interesting to us, tiresome for you
Do most of these meetings concern ASOIAF/GOT? Is there any chance Fevre Dream will be adapted? I think you once stated you personally wrote a screenplay, but that proved more difficult for a film adaptation.

Also, any news on The Skin Trade production?

Speaking as an L.A. resident. Lots of good places to eat, now. Even places that roll around on four wheels and park on Wilshire, or next to the CNN building in Hollywood at Lunch time. XD

I hope so, too.

BTW, my copy of Down These Strange Streets arrived safely. Thank you!! It's been great fun reading these stories.

sounds like you need some sleep George.

Sit back, relax, and watch the Bills beat the Patriots on Sunday!

I've been a big fan for MANY years now (well before "ASoI&F") and am glad to see you finally getting the recognition you deserve. Hope you're taking enough time to enjoy it all. Looking forward to anything cool down the line...

hey good luck with those meetings. If not you always get a free meal out of them. Write as soon as you get something good out of them (Y). Greetings from Uruguay. You should come here sometime.

ps. the Victarion part from The winds of winter you read (in Canada, I think) was awesome. All the best for that book.

Wild Cards adaptation? Please? I know NBC Universal bought the rights a year ago, but that usually doesn't mean much.

Well I'm sure you can't offer a comment on those specifics, perhaps you could shed some light on another pressing question: does Tor plan on republishing any more books of the series? I only recently got into them and I would love to be able to read the whole set.

I'm just going to assume that this will lead to a movie based on Fevre Dream, beacause that WOULD be cool. Or to phrase Abed Nadir, cool cool cool.

Video Tour
I know this is an odd, and maybe annoying request as you are very busy I know, but if you find the time it would be very cool if you pulled out a camera and maybe, showed us around the office? I'm just curious about your working space and your book collections.

Watched the Niners/Jets game today and I LOL'd when I imagined you feeling what I've felt so many times while reading your novels. Now we just need to get our revenge against the Giants! Heh. They'll apologize and all will be mended. Heh.

BReakfast? You seem like you would read over everything before you post it. A typo that obvious would quickly be ablated unless intentional. Considering, as a previous commenter pointed out, that this is the only post ever tagged with "television and film" and your own past history of leaving hints in posts, this post contains several clues.
