I Hate Football

The Giants were awful.

The Jets were worse.

Life is meaningless and filled with pain.

'nuff said.

last weekend's NFL
But no, all is wonderful. All is beauty and light. Football is the most sublime activity ever ventured by the human species. The Saints won. In fact, the Saints won against the team with the best current record of the season. In fact, the Saints won despite having their head coach, much of his staff, and many of their best players banished by draconian officialdom. In fact, the Saints won not only with Drew Brees, the child of the gods, but with outstanding defense, which was terrible for the first few games of this season. The Saints won this last weekend to prove a point, to whit, they are regaining their magic. I have five cents cold hard cash that says they win the Super Bowl after the 2013 season. Rejoice, all.

I would feel for you, but the childlike delight I got from watching Richard Sherman manhandle Sanchez is completely preventing me from doing so. Go Hawks!

I never seem to understand how important this topic might actually get to some.

And then, not being a US citizen, I really cared about the election last week, not to mention un-persons of notorious importance to the continued existence of the universe such as Tyrion, Arya and Dany Targaryen.
Is this what I call bigotry when others do it?

'Nuff said B-)

(Couldn't say it, but great second-to-last post!

Giants
I wouldn't worry too much about the NYG.

The Giants, perhaps more so than any other team understand how to pace themselves over the course of a season. They haven't had a bye yet, their receivers are clearly not yet 100%, yet they're 6-4 and set to win the division.

Additionally, I love the fact that the Giants have drifted away from contention for one of the top 2 seeds in the conference. The Giants are a notoriously bad home team and Eli has a poor track record of dealing with the wind.

Remember the year the Giants went 12-4 and lost their first playoff game to the Eagles?

The Giants have a track record of winning big playoff games ON THE ROAD and that's exactly where I want them.

I don't care for any of your political opinions(I am a moderate). However, we go through the exact same emotions with the Giants and the Jets. I feel like Bill Clinton when I say "I feel your pain". When the Zombie War comes, I got your back.

Watch Doomsday Preppers on National Geographic. It will cheer you up. Watching crazy people prepare for the end of the world has taken my mind off of football.

"Hey, Jets players who anonymously ripped Tim Tebow to @MMehtaNYDN today… The Broncos of August 2011 called. They want their quotes back."
