...I'd never even thought of sneding books to be signed and to expect the guy to sign books (or other stuff) just to increase its resale value is incredibly stupid in my opinion. I have some books signed by authors, but I have obtained them either by going to an author signing, or though some author approved method like signed page. All of them for for myself and personallized to myself (Well expect for one signed by a YA author that is signed to my daughter, and held in trust until see is of age for the book) and are a treasure for myself alone, not for monetary gain.

I alwys thought that if I ever got famous enough for someone to want my signiture I'd probably set some artificial max on the number book or whaterver, only sign them at an appearance, and only personallize them. Probably makes me a Jerk in some eyes though I imagine.
