Here in Canada, satellite is (best) provided by Bell...and they're doing Fiber Optic TV, dubbed 'Fibe'. Satellite & DVR is a good combination, as you get time shifting PLUS can record the shows. I think I prefer DVR over 'on demand' services. Plus I find the signal & quality is superior, even with the regular basic channels.
