It's gorgeous and the natives are some of the friendliest I've seen in a major city. Definitely one of our favorites as well. Nothing like sitting outdoors having genuine tapas and sangria without being hurried to leave by the waiter and without breaking the bank.
I have to say, though, some of the best sangria we had on our trip was in a place called Tarragona (about an hour by train outside of Barcelona). My husband and I are big history buffs and the Roman ruins in this place were incredible. If you are ever in the area again and haven't checked it out, we highly recommend it. And stop by La Casa del Vermut for a nice pitcher of sangria. :-)
