"A Storm of Swords" is one of the best books I've ever read, so I'm really excited for season three. I hope HBO does this book justice because that'd make for spectacular television. Trailer looks great-- I got shivers watching that wildling scale the Wall, and also seeing the Unsullied with Daenerys. And I can't wait to watch Joffrey's wedding night, oh, sweet justice at last!

This trailer makes you feel that season 3 is going to be epic.

I always knew I liked Jimmy. I also can't wait for the 31st, and since my bday is on the 25th I keep telling my wife it's my birthday present (right along with my 1st and 2nd season on blu ray I keep **elbowing** her about). What a great trailer. Things are going to kick off for Dany too, it would seem. My daughter's name is Dani...my wife wouldn't go for Daenerys. She's got attitude though, and is beautiful, so she can still be my "daughter of dragons". :D

I love March birthdays! Happy early birthday, and I look forward to enjoying the show with ya. I'm reading the books for the third time (I'm about to start book 3 which is perfect timing). And no I'm not crazy, but the books are great and I just got my father to read all 5 in the last 2 months...he's finishing 5 now or so he tells me on Skype. So I had to reread them so that we could have ASOIAF discussions. Life is good! :D

I'm sure you'll be apart of the many interviews and press junkets that will promote the show. It would be cool to see you on Craig Ferguson, I've noticed he's had several best selling authors as guests.

FWIW do you prefer Leno or Letterman? I'm a fan of the one who isn't a bit stealing, back stabbing, network kiss ass. But that's just me.

I'm so glad they finally figured out how to make trailers that are as good as the show deserves.

A storm of swords upset me so much I called in sick to work... to finish reading the book. Can't wait to see this season!!!!

This is my favourite source material in the series to date. I hope they don't take as many liberties with it as they did with season 2 and A Clash Of Kings.

I watched his show last night just to see this (though, I do otherwise enjoy him!). I watched it about 10 times then and just watched it again about 6 more times. CAN'T GET ENOUGH. :D

Ok so a few questions/speculations.

1) 9 seconds into the trailer, it shows a major city on the coast. I guess this is either Storms End or Seaguard? Maybe Storms End because it looks like it has great defences. Maybe Seaguard cause it looks like a boy (Rickon?) in the boat and Rickon goes there after the fall of Winterfell.

2) At 20 seconds into the trailer it shows a man in a hood tied to a rack. I'm guessing that this is Reek. To not reveal any spoilers I'll simply say that his name sounds like Peek and this means we will probably see another Bastard this Season (Yay!).

3) Quick shot of Thoros duelling Sandor Clegane at 32 seconds into the trailer. (Took me over 10 viewings to spot it) :D

Verdict on the trailer is that it rules and has a great song. Darker feel than alot of the Season 2 trailers. Would like the next trailer to have some shots or Riverrun, Tully's, Tyrells and also a bit longer. 1 minute trailers are good but 2 minute trailer are like TWICE as good.

George, this may not be the spot, but what are your thoughts on Peter Jackson's first of three Hobbit films?? Assuming, of course, you've seen it.

I noticed that the Unsullied have round shields.

Have been searching books for reference to shield shape...no luck.

I am building a miniature war game army for Dany and would appreciate knowing shield shape (sorry to be obsessive). One foot spikes on helmets...is difficult enough...

Is round semi-official? Help George (I've no problem ignoring mini-serias and only use books for reference its just that I can't find a reference other than this shot from mini-serias.
