NFL Draft, Day 3

The Giants draft is looking very strong. No spectacular moves, but solid players who will make solid contributions. Grabbing Nassib in round four to back up Eli and groom as his successor was a great move.

The Jets draft... two defensive players in round one look okay, but considering how high they were taken, you had to hope for more. Neither one looks like a game-changer. And taking Geno Smith will set back the club years. Sanchez is likely to be released now, which means we are starting all over, and with a much iffier prospect than Mark was when he was first drafted,

Whoa!
Releasing Tebow like that??? After the rosters are full? Doesn't look very sportsman-like. Hmm.

Re: Whoa!
The QB roster was certainly full. They had six. Now they have five. Which is still about two too many.

Agreed jenniferlee.

I can't help but feel the Jets royally screwed Tebow but taking him and then not using him. I think he might have been better off if no one had taken him from the Broncos and the guy wouldn't have wasted a year of his time. He'd either have found another home, maybe in CFL or Arena Football or maybe another NFL team in a different position if no one wants him as QB. Got to admit I think he'd make a heckuva fullback!

Re: Whoa!
They paid him. If he wanted to play more he should have completed some more passes or rushed for more yardage.
