NFL Draft, Day 3

G-men
The Giants draft is looking very strong. No spectacular moves, but solid players who will make solid contributions. Grabbing Nassib in round four to back up Eli and groom as his successor was a great move.

The Jets draft... two defensive players in round one look okay, but considering how high they were taken, you had to hope for more. Neither one looks like a game-changer. And taking Geno Smith will set back the club years. Sanchez is likely to be released now, which means we are starting all over, and with a much iffier prospect than Mark was when he was first drafted,

Obviously the Jets big needs were offensive weapons and probably a linebacker able to rush the passer, but at 9th and 13th the value just wasn't there with Tavon Austin off the board. This was not a strong WR class. You could make a case for Tyler Eifert (ND TE), but I'd still rather have Milliner and Richardson.

Sanchez is in his final year one way or another, and with the drafts top rated QB shockingly available in the 2nd round, they HAD to take him.

My only real beef with the Jets is taking Richardson over Star Lotulelei, but its a minor complaint, and I will be happy to be proven wrong on that.
