Back From LA

Just back from a week in LA.

I did Conan (the O'Brien, not the Cimmerian) and the Today Show, and taped a segment for a BBC special about Machiavelli... along with the usual dozen or so meeetings.

Also, while in town, swung by the Bookstar in Studio City and signed all their stock of my books, which was considerable. So if you're an Angeleno or just visiting LA, and want to snag an autographed copy of one of my novels, get yourself to Studio City while the supply lasts.

And now I'm back in the land of wolves and savage dust storms, digging out from under.

Your trip down under in November
Australia is going to go nuts when you arrive in November! I own 3 independent bookstores in Melbourne and Game of Thrones is by far outselling anything else that has been released in Australia - since Robinsons Bookshop has been involved in books - & as Robinsons is the oldest indie in Victoria - that goes back a while (50 years in fact)! My newest store which opened in October last year is the only bookstore in the largest shopping centre in the Southern Hemisphere (yes all of the rest have closed) and whilst I have been eagerly lobbying Harper Collins for you to attend there for a signing - apparently you are all booked up. If there are any openings please keep Robinsons Bookshop in mind - an event at Chadstone would go crazy! Harper Collins was wonderful in securing an event for us with Raymond E Feist next week - and everyone is buzzing about it. If you could find some time to meet your fans at Chadstone I don't think you would be disappointed. Regardless, we are all excited that you are visiting Australia. In the meantime enjoy being home.
