The Wedding Guest

froggy
He's a father, he's a son.  He's been a bishop, a cardinal, a prior, a friar, a vicar, a knight, a lord, a mayor, a director.  There's one born every minute, but by any other name he'd smell as sweet.

Later:
I see the long delay between visits from Froggy the Gremlin hasn't dulled your skill at deciphering clues any.

Yes, it's the fine British character actor Roger Ashton-Griffiths, who has been cast in the role of Mace Tyrell, son to the Queen of Thorns, and father of Loras and Margaery.

Thanks for playing, and congrats to those who got it right.

It has to be John Kavanagh, not sure who he's playing though.

Re: Agree!
Thanks, but after looking at other comments and perusing Roger Ashton-Griffiths's IMDB credits, the others have convinced me he's a better fit here. Oh well, Kavanagh *should* be in the show somewhere...might make a good Jon Connington down the line.

Re: Agree!
I'd prefer Kevin McKidd as Jon Connington :)

That would be amazing. Though I don't think it's likely. =/

Definitely Mace. All the other roses have been cast. "A rose by any other name," Shakespear! I have no idea who the actors is...

I would love to see Anthony Head in a role, but my guess for this one is also Mace Tyrell. : )

JP Moyles is correct, I believe. "There's one born every minute" - a fool. "by any other name, he'd smell as sweet" - as everyone's guessing, a rose, or a Tyrell.

Tyrell fool? That'd be Butterbumps.

My money's on Roger Ashton-Griffiths as Mace, like others before me said.

Also, he'd be perfect.

Seems like a really good choice for Mace, though I've only seen him in Gangs of New York!
