"... a book, as yet untitled, that we're calling the GRRMarillion"

I hope you realise that this will also entail further publication, after your death, of an eighteen volume collection of pretty much every rough draft you ever wrote and thought you'd thrown away. The sort of thing that JRRT scribbled on the back of some poor student's exam paper or a beer mat from the Eagle & Child that revealed that he once thought that 'Tinfang Warble'* was a good name for an elf.

I expect that in the first draft of Ice and Fire, all the good guys survived to the end of the series, Maester Aemon was called 'Hoppy Dingaling' and Tyrion was a strapping six-footer...

Great news about both "The Princess and the Queen" and the GRRMarillion though.




* The Book of Lost Tales, J.R.R. Tolkien, available from all good book stores. Yes, "Tinfang Warble", really.
