Jean Cocteau Lives!

flames
The grand re-opening week at the Jean Cocteau has gone by in a blur.  Only two more days to catch ORPHEUS and FORBIDDEN PLANET... for free.  So far, everyone seems to love the new art deco look of the entryway and concessions area, and our famous popcorn.  And the crowds have been great.  Of course, you'd figure that, with admission being free and all.

This weekend will be our first true test.  On Friday we start charging for admission.

We're going to continue to offer an eclectic mix of films.  Something for every taste, we hope.

Next up are SHOUTING SECRETS and EUROPA REPORT.  Check 'em out.

SHOUTING SECRETS

EUROPA REPORT

And for those of you who are allowed to stay up late, here's a taste of our Midnight Movie (11pm, actually) next Friday and Saturday.

RAPTURE-PALOOZA

See you at the movies ((I hope)).

Hello, George.
It may be offtopic, but nevertheless I can't help but share the artwork of a friend of my friend and her team. Asiya is not on LiveJournal, but here is what she writes:

"Having read the three George Martin's books in 2002-2003, we were longing for the fourth book of the saga, A Feast for Crows, to release. We had been waiting for it veeeery long, for three years. And then, when an amature Russian translation had been released, we made up, printed, and bound the book. In 2013, I decided to make the cover in leather. So, here is the our beloved — hard cover, leather, letters in relief. Now I'm going to design A Dance with Dragons in the same way. The people who took part in the project are Andrey Petrov, Pavel Tarasenko, Yegor Prokhorov, and Asiya Petrova."
