The Guild Comes to the Cocteau

Tonight's the night: Felicia Day's wildly popular webseries THE GUILD begins its four-day marathon at the Jean Cocteau in Santa Fe.

We've changed the screening schedule a bit since I first announced this event, downstream.

Seasons one and two will be shown tonight (Monday, Oct 21), starting at 6:20.

Season three is on tomorrow (Tuesday, Oct 22).

Season four will be screened on Wednesday (October 23).

And we wind up on Thursday (October 24) with seasons five and six.

Admission to each show will be ten bucks, same as an ordinary movie.  (The usual discounts apply).  But we're also offering a $30 ticket for all four nights.

Best of all, after each showing, members of the Guild cast will be visiting with us via Skype... from Hollywood, Fantasyland, the Game, or wherever they may be.  Felicia Day herself will be joining us on Thursday.

Losing Corrupted Files
Weird question for George. Not sure where to ask this is, so I figured Not A Blog would be my best bet.

At one point or another, we've all had to deal with bugs in technology that have completely destroyed some form of work product. Have you ever binge-written say 3 Arya chapters without saving, only to lose all of it because your computer froze? Essentially, I'm wondering if you've experienced the electronic equivalent of spilling the ink pot all over your manuscript pages.

Re: Losing Corrupted Files
No, I haven't. Thank ghod.

But this is one reason I write with WordStar 4.0 on a DOS machine. WordStar is stable as a rock, and never suffers these sort of glitches.

I have a friend who lost a whole novel once because of a computer virus. He was using Word.

This is really off topic, however... please, comments here should concern the Cocteau, the Guild, movies, webseries, etc.

Re: Losing Corrupted Files
Thanks for answering! Sorry for the OT question.

I heard the NPR story about the Cocteau recently. Sounds like great project. How has turnout been? Is there a lot of traffic from outside NM?

I had been ignorant as to The Guild, but I am glad for the link. The show is very funny.

Love Felicia Day and the Guild
Man, I wish I lived near you guys! Tennessee is too far away. I'm a big fan of Felicia Day (The Guild, Dr. Horrible, Geek & Sundry, etc.). It is so cool that you guys are showing things like this in your theater. I hope there's a big turn out!

The Guild
Really happy to see you showing 'The Guild' series at the Jean Cocteau. I have been a big fan of Felicia Day and her work for many years and think your support of her efforts will help her and crew immensely. Thank you (again)George for being AWESOME!
