Howard, Gardner, and George Show

FROM THIS YEAR'S CAPCLAVE:

Warning: contains risqué anecdotes and off-color stories that may offend some.

I should also mention that I had a senior moment during the panel, when I mentioned that I won my first Hugo in 1985 and appeared on my first panel in 1986.  While the relation between those two events is correct, the dates aren't.  I misplaced a decade there.  I actually won my first Hugo in 1975, and appeared on my first panel later that same year (at the same con where the trophy was presented to me).

South Park Parody
Dear Mr. Martin,
I'm not sure if you've been made aware of this, but A Song of Ice and Fire has been made the focus of a South Park 2-part parody that debuted last Wednesday and finishes tomorrow during their normal new-episode timeslot. Though some of the satire is more pointed towards the HBO series, they do seem to be using your series as the template. It seems that the creators of the show, Matt Stone and Trey Parker, are fans of your work, and unlike many of their targets on the show, they do seem to respect your work as well. Just thought you should know while you're on the road trip.

P.S.: I read the sample chapter of Winds of Winter in the Dance with Dragons paperback and loved it. Can't wait for the Battle of Mehreen.
