And Then There's This

Of course, this is just a gag.

In real life, the Hound prefers Popeyes.   But not the spicy.  He's afraid of fire.

Popeye's is great eatin'. No word of a lie. The fried chicken from KFC is an extra crispy gutbomb, but their nuggets are really good and come with your choice of six amazing dipping sauces. There's the creamy buffalo, orange ginger, bacon ranch, honey BBQ, honey mustard and creamy ranch. Served above and below the salt shakers! Now I'm hungry.

Eating contest
This actually made me think: who would win an eating contest in Westeros? (No bears, direwolves, dragons or other creatures allowed)

Re: Eating contest
Certainly not Melisandre.

Re: Eating contest
Agreed on Wyman. Though he would need to face the champ of Essos: Illyrio Mopatis to win the championship of the known world.

LMAO! That was so funny and unexpected. They are already parodying stuff from season 4, that's fast and very damn awesome. I guess me and the Hound have something in common, we both can't get enough of KFC chicken.

It just go to show how popular and successful the show is. Congrats to Martin, D&D and everybody working on making this amazing show.

I would've pegged him for a Church's Chicken guy, myself. :)

glad I read the comments before posting "What - no Church's? Joffrey burn those, too?"

LOL This is great! Loved that whole funny chicken bit at the Crossroads Inn.

And his "What the fuck's a Lommy?" line also gave me a good giggle.

bah
Bah, combining GoT and the yuckiness that is KFC.

Y'know, I've wondered about the logistical problem of filtering the flood of references, parodies, mashups, and repurposings of GoT. There's some good stuff out there, but not enough hours in the day for even just the good stuff.

The Hound has very good taste! Popeye's is indeed better, and not spicy is the way to go. :D (Also, you made me snicker out loud at work with that last sentence!)

Mercy
The similarity of a piece of dialogue in this scene to some dialogue in "Mercy" makes me have to ask, are David and Dan getting advanced chapters of the books to help know where the show has to go or are they just really good at channeling your voice?

Re: Mercy
I was wondering the same thing.

This scene in particular was my favorite from the whole episode. It had me squealing with glee, giggling uncontrollably, and then squealing some more.

I'm not sure if I should thank you, or Kimmel (his show) for that- but oh man, did that make me laugh. Thank you!

This probably won't be seen but it's the best place I thought to ask. As an aspiring writer, when did you first imagine the land of Westeros? Or what first inspired it?

That's gold! What an awesome ad! Must have paid a fortune for the rights to use it.
