Opening Friday

cocteau
Opening on Friday at the Jean Cocteau... and many hundreds of other screens across America... is COLD IN JULY, a film by Jim Mickle, based on the novel by the one and only JOE R. LANSDALE.

This one's a wild ride, and has won all sorts of acclaim at the Sundance and Cannes Film Festivals.

Don't miss it, whether it's at our theatre, or one near you.

And read the novel too.  Lansdale is an incredible writer, with a unique voice.  Compulsively readable.

Thank you
I do not know if you will have read this message, but, George R.R. Martin, I want you to know, you are my idol. You're imagination has no limits, fortunately, cause you're words are the best I've read in my entire life.

I know people are pressuring you about your next book, and it can't be easy, but know this, you have my patience. Thank you for your work.

Not a big fan of michael C hall but godamn that looks like one hell of a movie.

You should totally screen Paul Thomas Anderson's new movie called 'Inherent vice' adapted from the novel of the same name by thomas pynchon.

Queuing up for this one, looking forward to it, but I better get there early. The retro theater in my area doesn't have many seats. Coincidentally, the Cannes Film Festival is offering their old theater seats for free to a good home. Whaddaya think? Dress up the Cocteau with a little class.

Making the Big Time
Congratulations! You've made the big time. Tonight NBC News used "game of thrones" as a caption for an international story they ran. Thought you should know...~~Denny Feltz, the Cedar Falls Counselor

I saw this movie last week at a screening here in Fort Worth. It felt strangely as if two different movies had been spliced together about halfway through, but it was worth the watch. I was happy to hear that Michael C. Hall could do a decent southern accent.

Syrio Forel
Sorry this is a comment not relevant to the post, but I cant sleep from wondering, can you tell me how the fight between Meryn Trant and Syrio Forel ended? I assumed Syrio died, since Trant is still around later, but some say he was taken prisoner in Kings Landing, is it even relevant?

Thank you for your books, I can't wait until the next one and I hope you're having fun writing it.

This looks so scary! But I love Michael C. Hall so I can't not see it. Thank you for sharing this!
