I Have No Words...

... for what happened this morning with the Giants.

I mean, blowing a 21-point lead?  To the Jaguars?

It doesn't get much worse than that.  Losing to the Niners and the Cowboys the past two weeks was bad, but at least they are good teams.  Playoff contenders.  Jacksonville... arrgh...

We lost two more offensive linemen as well.  As Coughlin was already playing the third-stringers.  No wonder Eli kept going down.  If one more lineman had been injured, David Diehl would have needed to leave the broadcast booth to suit up.

 Bad to worse to worst.

On the bright side...
There's something to be said for the way the Giants are either winning Super Bowls or they are sporting one of the worst records in the league. The same cannot be said of the Dallas Cowboys, who have been the pinnacle of consistency the past few years...consistently mediocre. Watching them finish 8-8 the last three seasons and narrowly missing the playoffs has taken years off my life. Although the Giants and Jets will be missing the playoffs yet again, I hope you will find enjoyment in the almost certain and imminent collapse of my hated Cowboys. I'm sorry George. Man, the Giants just can't catch a break this season. At least you have Odell's amazing catch which I think is the best thing I've seen this season

That's okay.
My poor, poor Arizona Cardinals, despite starting with the Best Record in the league for the first half, won't be able to do anything in the playoffs without the QB we just signed to a three year deal. If we even make it that far. We lost to the Falcons, who, to be fair, are leading their sad, sad, division with a (now) 5-7 record. We won't even get a decent draft pick out of the whole thing either. Meanwhile Fitzgerald gets another year older, and Carson Palmer will be coming back from a second torn ACL...sigh. I guess there's always next year.

Does there come a point where you've lost so many linesmen, and your defensive line is so poor, that you have to pull your quarterback out of the game and put in the backup just to protect him from potential injury?

Dolphins vs Jets tonight. Sorry to give you more distress but I just can't see the Jets getting any type of victory tonight.

Well, You might get Marcus Mariota out of all this, thats something.

I have concerns about Winston both on and off the field, and think the pressure-cooker thats the Jets would be terrible for him

can i admit i haven't forgiven Vick for his past (awful) decisions? dare i admit seeing him sacked last week gave me that close-to-schadenfreude bitter-warm feeling? i'm sorry about the Giants, though; i have clients who are HUGE diehard fans and it's been a hard couple seasons for you guys.

slough of despond
The Giants have their ups and downs, yet at least their ups result in Super Bowl trophies. Consider the plight of the Minnesota Vikings fan. Sadly, misfortunes of their own making, bounties on their aging QB, and games that end up causing league rule changes have kept them out of Super Bowls where the hope to finally win one was so fresh and overflowing that it made us forget the logic the past 50 years have taught us: They won't win.

Have Wun Wun take out an undead dire-jaguar with an accidental back-swing later on if he survives the altercation when Jon lost his Lord-Commandership. It might ease the pain a tiny bit.

Geno
Here's hoping poor Geno will not get a role in winds of winter. Not sure he'll survive that.

Giants
We might as well look to the draft. Pick a center or right tackle and move Pugh inside. Build from the inside out is what Accorsi always said to do.

What do you reckon to the rumours that the Jaguars will move their franchise to wembley?

Consider all the money Mr. Khan is sinking into the North Florida area I think that is only a rumor. I think it more likely the Rams will move back to L.A.

As you might imagine, here in North Florida our take on the Jags/Giants game is a bit different. We were ecstatic.

Re: Options
He's always wanting to go back and be a QB in the NFL but he has a pretty good job at the SEC network.

It could be worse George - you could be a Bears fan. They never fail to disappoint. Until Cutler goes it will be nothing but frustration. How about we trade Cutler to the Giants for Manning? That's a thought.....

Niners loss and another demise by the dreaded Cowboys. A genie couldn't grant me three wishes fast enough for the Jets game tonight; how will they fare against the almighty Dolphins. I've the game saved, won't be able to watch it until I resolve my ongoing custody battle. As always, Good Ser, I enjoy reading your analysis and insights into the NFL. (And dare I say looking forward to Lowball as well!) May the wind lift your sails, Noble Ser.
