Something positive to look forward to
With so much going on in my personal life (new job, foster dog, family) I forgot about TV.

Thank you!

Pretty much sums up my feels for Sunday's premiere. That was awesome. (P.S., sorry I missed you at NorWesCon. Hopefully I'll get to say hi at Sasquan.)

Still not sure if I'll watch the show before or after the book series is done. I'm patient and while I love the show the novels are simply up there with my 2 or 3 favorite stories ever so I'd rather experience it there first ideally.

Still nice to have Game of Thrones vibes in the air though, or maybe it's just spring. xD

I have never watched the show, but I am slowly--very slowly--reading through the 5-ebook bundle and am enjoying it. It has been patiently sitting on my iPad Mini for me to come back to since I received it two Christmases ago, and I started working my way through it again for a readathon warm-up. :) I want to fully appreciate that before seeing the show, since I see so much on both sides, positive and negative, about changes between the books and TV.
Spring is wonderful, isn't it? Well, except for the allergies and changing temperatures. I always feel more energetic this time of year and ready to try new things, or keep going with books like this huge one!

I particularly liked the character at the very while the credits rolled.

I think my favorite part is the very end. "Khuu. Khuu. Khuu."

It's kind of adorable.

I've always wondered if Rickon smashing those walnuts on the table in season 2 was a foreshadowing of this story? Or, if, in some way, the scene with Rickon was put in just to have some "smashing" moments in case they never made it to Tyrion's story. I just detected an echo there, in the writing of the scenes.

A well-deserved break, for everyone! And thank you for your civil, well-reasoned, and historically accurate rebuttals that have preceded this amusing post.

Awesome
That's wonderful. The only improvement I could think of would be a karaoke version, so we could all sing, er, speak along.

Alas I'm a cable customer in the UK so I'll have to wait quite some time before I can get excited about this season.

However, David Bradley has a great taste in football teams.

The percussive use of the decapitations as a musical element is fantastic! :-)

Ha! That was great.

The Key and Peele "Game of Thrones Recap" was pretty funny, too. ;-)

Game of Thrones season 5
Looking forward from pictures that I have seen thus far how they manage Tyrion and Daenerys meeting each other in season 5. Whether when Tyrion meets Daenerys he is under his real name Tyrion or like a Hugor Hill like in Dance with Dragons.

I'm not sure which is better, this or Kit Harington's sketch on Late Night with Seth Meyers.
It's been a good week.

I have been so looking forward to this season. Tyrion and Arya have been my favorite characters since I read the first book long ago. This season promises to be an interesting one for both characters and a good workout for the amazing talents of Peter Dinklage and Maisie Williams.

I watch the show with my 20-something daughter. The sex scenes can be a bit awkward, but watching the show has become a father-daughter tradition. I tell her she is a Sci-fi/Fantasy geek and she accuses me of making her one by giving her The Hobbit to read when she was in second grade. Mea Culpa and I'm glad it took.

Benjen and Rickon
In the new book winds of winter will we hear anything at all about there whereabouts of Rickon or Benjen? I've been pondering on the thought of were they currently are or what happened to them for ages. Please George, allow me to know this information so I may be at peace.
