More Pain

Another woeful Jets loss this morning, this one to the Texans and their third-string quarterback.

Gang Green's defense hung in there valiantly, but the offense looked awful. Way too many dropped passes by our wideouts, a couple of them sure touchdowns. And Revis got hurt... after being beaten a couple of times.

Houston's offensive coordinator had a lot to do with the win. Very creative playcalling, mixing in the wildcat, and a couple trick plays that caught the Jets completely flat=footed.

I had feared that last week's painful (and unnecessary) loss to Buffalo might send the Jets into a tailspin, and so it proved. But this is a case where I hate to be proved right.

The Giants had a bye. Thanks for that much.

On the bright side, my beloved Pats will probably beat Buffalo on Monday. So you guys will hopefully get a small boost in the AFC wildcard race.

This Texans fan has been on the other side of a Ryan Fitzpatrick-led team, and all I can say is... "this too shall pass"

Poor energy.
I like Todd Bowles so far, but what worries me is that team has looked flat every week since the patriots loss. A defense only plays well at desperation time. The offense has been littered with injuries and inconstant play. But they look lifeless. And Bowles is not very animated. Is he taking them to task enough?

I missed the Jets game. Sounds like that was fortuitous.

Jets today
Tough loss, no doubt. But how about that bone jarring Fitzpatrick TD? It has been a long time since I've seen such sacrifice from a QB. Respect.

Re: Jets today
A great TD run.

Followed by two back-breaking INTs.

Eli! Eli!
Jets obviously overachieved and a hard loss in Foxboro was a tipping point. It's a watchable product now but far from a solid team. Future is not clear but I bet McCagnan has a better picture than Idzik ever got.

Giants, tho... Regardless of the terrible last minute losses, they should win the division and in Playoffs... Eli still has some magic in him.

if you're into Knicks, that kid Porzingis... dude!

RE: Eli! Eli!
You sure they will hold off the Cowboys? With Romo back, the Cowboys look like the best team in the NFC East.....if (big if) they beat the Panthers on Thanksgiving the Giants will be in a race with the Cowboys in the rear view mirror.....can they do enough to keep them there?

They can't give any games away....

Re: Eli! Eli!
I guess there's nothing else for The Cowboys but to tank the season to get a good pick. I feel sorry for Romo being hurt again but he did throw some pick sixes so they would be out of contention anyway. If Giants don't mess up with Washington, playoff run is possible.

Re: Giants fan
I'm an Eagles fan & yesterday I was reduced to cheering for the freakin' COWBOYS, because they were the only NFC East team not getting spanked. This season has been horrible!

Only a matter of time before you abandon the mess Chip has made and become a Cowboys fan.

That is unlikely.
I survived our 3-13 season in 1998 (at the end of Coach Rhodes' tenure). And I survived our 4-12 season in 2012 (bye Coach Reid). AND I've survived an entire LIFETIME without a Super Bowl championship. So I'll probably stick with the Eagles.

My girlfriend is a Cowboys fan though.

Feel your pain
As a Eagles fan I feel your pain. It was tough to watch the semi pro team that lost to the Bucs yesterday 45-17.

Well if it makes you happy, my Eagles got their wings clipped yesterday haha, as they continue to search for more painful ways to lose. Washington was manhandled as well, so hope remains for New York. Plus, if you ask me, somebody's gotta put down the uprising occurring in Dallas right now. If it has to be the Giants, so be it.

Revis
Jets had to watch the Pats wining the superbowl with their best player and then pay a king’s ransom to get him back, but not before we suck his soul out of him and but it into Butler.
Or as evil lil bill would say:"just as planed."
HAHAHAHA!

Texans Fan here, I come in peace.
Good game, sorry to see the game decided on two Fitzpatrick picks.. He's a QB that is the true spirit of the Journeyman in the NFL, I loved him and what he gave to the Texans last season, and hoped he could bring that into the Jets. I want good things for Fitzmagic, and hope he helps y'all bounce back in the AFCN....

Fitzpatrick needs to quit diving head first when he decides to run the ball... It's what broke his leg last season, and it I think it contributed to the loss/pick he threw after he took that shot to the head on the TD run..

Hopefully we can do you a solid and beat the Patriots in a couple of weeks.

For a split second, I thought you cared about hockey. I should have known better than to get my hopes up and believe you'd be a Winnipeg Jets fan :( woe is me.
