This is the best news I've heard in a while, but something inside of me is feeling a slight hint of fear.

HBO is great. But will they see the series out to the end? I am sure then even having one or two seasons is awesome in itself and just getting to see GRRM vision on screen for even perhaps just one episode is something not to complain about.

But what if the show is such a success that they pick it up for all seven seasons? This is where the fear kicks in. Nothing against you George, but your pace is quite slow. This is ok, and I dont really have a problem with it. I've been acquainting myself with Robin Hobb and even Ann Rice for the first time. The reality of life is that book 5 is slow coming to fruition and I can live with that. :)

But what happens if the series is a success and they catch up? All the "kids" will grow up and it will spell calamity I fear!

Garr! Gerr! BLarg! Anyway, this news is wonderful!
