Life is meaningless and full of pain.

Cardinals, Ravens, Eagles... these playoffs are for the birds.

AGREED... I was staring at the numbers and I thought... GRRM has GOT to have something to say about this. =|

It's NUTS (though I knew my Panthers didn't stand a chance)... I was hoping for a Giants/Steelers game :)

If only the seahawks were in it, and it would truly be a fowl party

The puns! They wound us!

*falls over in pain*

Nooooooooo... !

(Who saw the Cards winning, though?! The Ravens and Eagles at least people predicted winning!)

Honestly, Giants deserved that loss. They played terribly.

It'd be neat to have a Bird Bowl but I have a feeling the Ravens won't beat the Steelers.

Oh well, there's always next season for Big Blue.

I'd think he'd have to pull for the Ravens, as they are in the same family as crows. :)

Life-long Philly resident here, so this game was sweet. We'll be playing a different Cardinals team than we beat on Thanksgiving, should be interesting.

E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES

this city is going to cave in on itself if Eagles win, especially after getting the World Cup too

The city will be insane. The Phils win was spectacular, but no matter what we all bleed Eagles green

They won't be "for the birds" if what we saw from the Steelers today is any indication. They are a tough, hard team. A Steelers-Eagles Superbowl might be a classic, though.

Was at the RAvens-Titans game. Titans offense beat itself, sadly, although the failure to call a delay of game penalty on the RAvens was the decisive moment.

I was hoping for a Giants-Titans superbowl ... I guess now it's just eh? and a shoulder shrug. No dog in the remaining fight. The CArds thing? Just weird, man.

Penalties
While the non-call of the delay of game was huge and could have been game changing, I am sad to say that I believe our Titans beat themselves. White's fumble on the two, Alge Crumplers big fumble later, and a severe lack of discipline leading to stupid penalties is something a team can't do and expect to go to the Super Bowl. I so had my hopes up this year too.

The fun part though is my 6 year old is a Cards fan. He calls them the "Red Parrots" and he has been running around the house cheering and reminding me repeatedly that his "Parrots" are better than my Titans. It's a good thing for his sake that Christmas is already over ;-)

Victory!
One thing that makes me really happy is that this was a game that the Eagles won, not a game that the Gints lost.

The Eagles did look good. I'm hoping for a Turnpike Bowl, where the Steelers win 14-10.

I'm gonna Cheer for the Cards, because there is no was they are gonna make it to the Superbowl, let alone win it.

So I chose to cheer for the Ravens over the Steelers, and the Cards over the Eagles.

The Giants sold their souls to the devil to cheat the good guys last year. You can't sell your soul a second time. :p

I feel your pain... I was cheering hard for the Giants. My partner grew up in NJ and is a huge fan.

But at least my Steelers made it through! We'll see if they can beat the Ravens 3 times. But I was really hoping for a Giants/Steelers Super Bowl.

Yeah, sorry about that. I only saw the fourth quarter but I must admit to some questions about the play-calling - for example, why would you go to a back in your backfield on 4th and 2 instead of just surging your QB? Y'all did get a miracle last year so I guess it was too much to ask for two in a row.

...deleted previous entry.

They went for it earlier and Manning couldn't get the half yard. I was hoping they would attempt a short play action pass after seeing the earlier attempt. The Jacobs had a good game stat-wise, but the Eagles did a very good job throughout the game disrupting any sort of consistency in the Giants run game.

Egads, what a week of Playoffs. The Cardinals come into the playoffs having lost almost every game to a team with a winning record, yet they seem to be on fire now. I had a feeling the Ravens and Steelers were going to be in the AFC game. That's a real grudge match. Pittsburgh has won the first two by 7 points (the second on a blown call, as usual). Pittsburgh is the only home team that has won it's game. I also don't think they're going to be able to beat the Ravens three times. I'm picking the Ravens and Eagles for the Superbowl...which means it's probably going to be Arizona vs. Pittsburgh.

They are. Well at least I will be able to watch the rest of the post season without getting headaches. I hope this has taught Coughlin that Eli needs the wind at his back and the defense needs the aid of the wind in the 4th quarter. Hopefully Jerry can get creative and find another star receiver... Crabtree.

Go Steelers!

A Feast For Crows
Just think of what could have been. If the 49ers had hung on to win that Monday night game against the Cardinals they could now be playing in the NFC Championship game. Alas...At least I pegged the Steelers to win it all on this very forum during the regular season.

F NY (well NJ really, but F them too)

Now I'm going to root for the Cardinals to win it all so Philly will be the only team ever in the NFC East not to win a Superbowl.
