I was entirely burnt out on fantasy up until ASOIAF, though your talent shines throughout every creation. We're privileged to be blessed with such an amazing talent. Screw the naysayers, you can't force creativity. My fiancée is a writer and any time he feels forced the end result is rarely satisfactory for him. I personally have worked in advertising and find selling my creativity in such a fashion to be (for lack of a better term) soul-sucking.

I feel like this is truly a field in which one needs to pace themselves and take their time. If that means a daily breakfast of a good stiff drink and a marathon of I Love Lucy, well frankly I'd question your judgment but that's for you to decide.

Thank you for giving me a fantastic escape, an outlet in which I can escape the banality and drudgery of my nine-to-five. I look forward to your future works, no matter how long some of them may take, and certainly wish you and yours the best (and speedy recoveries).
