I just read your last several blog posts all at once, and all I can do in good conscience is echo the messages of support and understanding, along with a little "GRRM iz great OMG SRSLY!!!!" mixed in. 'cause morale's important too.

As a matter of course, I consider it best to assume that all of us - even the psychopaths - wish you only well and are happy enough to wait until the book is done. It's true that some people be crazy; no getting away from that. And sure maybe even people as sensible as my little brother and I brood darkly from time to time and murmur idle threats revolving around an ill-advised plan to kidnap you and lock you in a cell until the book is finished, rewarding you for finished chapters with food and short walks in the sunlight. It's just talk.

I digress.

We really are overhwelmingly happy for you to finish your work at your own pace. As a matter of sincere truth, we also understand that you're not likely to be able to produce the quality of material we expect if you can't have time to watch football, travel, spend time with friends and family, sleep, breathe, etc. Your books provide us all with a great deal, and while we hope you're making a tidy sum for your efforts, it doesn't amount to the worth of the opportunity you give us - all of us - to see the fantastic in our minds' eye, framed and painted in your words. We're grateful for that, and we'll be waiting contendedly for the final book. And when we get DWD we'll gibber like chipmunks on crack, and all will be well in the world.
