Hard Call, At Long Last

After a long, unfortunate delay, the fifth issue of the new Wild Card miniseries, "The Hard Call," is finally out from DB Productions, and should be available soon at your favorite local comics shop. Daniel Abraham wrote the script, and Eric Battle did the art.

Check it out.

One more issue after that one. I have hopes that this time the delay between issues will not be as long... but don't write that down in blood, please.

Lots of other exciting Wild Cards news as well, but I can't talk about that as yet. So be patient, all ye aces and jokers.

Reminds me Resident Evil or 28 days later. А little. :)

Been following Hard Call with interest, and happy that another issue is out. Probably be a couple of weeks before I can get a hold if, though.

Always good to see Croyd in a story, I have to say.

That is pretty funny because my comic store still hasnt received numbers one through four yet.

Could it be?
I am hoping the news you can't talk about yet is that due to the rapidly growing ravenous fanbase that attaches itself to anything with your name on it they have agreed to reprint the older Wild Cards series. It may be a long shot but I can dream right?

I am still in the middle of the new series and loving it. While I think I have pieced together a lot of things without having to read the old series, I am betting that a lot of the questions bouncing around my head would be answered in those books. I plan on picking up the RPG as well just to get some additional background info.

Woo hoo!

I wonder how the series ends. It's been . . . so . . . long . . . :)

At last! I've been hitting their website for weeks now just to see if there was any news.

Is that a hint that NBC are about to cancel HEROES and replace it with WILD CARDS? If that happened, my faith in justice would be restored ;-)

Would that it were. HEROES is such an awful show. Some good characters, some fine actors, but the writing...

Sadly, however, I fear that HEROES has poisoned the well for a WILD CARDS series.

sadly, in my experience, as you may well know, DB has a history of delays when it comes to the comics
