For all you Wild Cards fans out there, I've changed the WC sample on my website, replacing the BUSTED FLUSH scene with a cool one from SUICIDE KINGS, written by Ian Tregillis (look for his his novel next year from Tor!) and featuring Rustbelt.

You can check it out at http://www.georgerrmartin.com/wc-s.h tml
SUICIDE KINGS will be published at the end of the year. This is the concluding volume of the Committee triad. Besides Ian T, the writers are Caroline Spector, Melinda M. Snodgrass, S.L. Farrell, Daniel Abraham, and Victor W. Milan. Featured viewpoint characters will be Rustbelt, the Amazing Bubbles, Double Helix, Gardener, Bugsy, and the Radical, but the rest of the gang will be on hand as well.

So to my point, how is ADWD progressing? In pages, dates, estimations, chapters left, editing, however you want to put. (please let us know! of course after cursing me and my kind out for being so damn persistent. And why do I go without cursing you out and demanding things from you, I'm a Red Sox fan so I am nothing if not patient)
it is already released.but it seems books with that name are very difficult to get.
No, really, Wild Cards is really cool, but still, as i mentioned before, Mr. Martin knows what is most anticipated. And somehow I guess he tries to do that at the very best.
But please, Ty or whoever is choosing which posts should survive, please don't delete those which are just suggestions for a better homepage ... as I did last time.
That's really not cool. It is never cool to treat a reader like this. I've never been unfriendly, ok?
So keep on the work, maybe the many works you have to do, Mr. Martin. And keep your life, as we all try to have ours until there is another great release written by yourself, not edited, not advertised for, just what you want to give us. And I am sure, it will be good. Even if I almost fall apart because I'm really eager to know how it continues ...
Don't be fooled. There is always this feeling in some fans who have to wait very long for a very desired piece of art that they become impatient. Some do not. That's cool.
I try to be kind and that's all, but when a good suggestion is deleted then I really doubt that this is a good way of handling a blog. It is yours. We all know. But yours are also your fans.
And some of your fans are just interested in your works, and some just in your one series.
Is that ok with you?
And when you get through with those, try Hunters Run. It kicked ass, too. (BTW: I'm a Cubs fan. My patience trumps yours.)
I will borrow Wild Cards from the library next week but I feel that my expectations are unrealistic which is why I think the dark towers series is the better option for the time being. I was just hoping for an update or even a thumbs up.
Marsh, the next time the cubs face the yankees, u know I'll be rooting with you.
I know, I shouldn't whine, it felt like I waited forever for new Wild Cards books, and have you SEEN some of the prices on Death Draws Five? I feel like I should lock my copy up and never let anyone read it.
But I still miss Mark.
Keep up the fantastic work and just wondering if we could get a little update if at all possible.
Thanks much, and remember to keep these books growing strong;)
I guess these kind of expectations could be very frustrating to some writers. :) I hope George is not one of them.
As far as this other ... well ... I like to singa, about the moona and the june-a and the springa. I like to singa, about the skies of blue-a and tea for two-a ... (shuffle shuffle)
The excerpt's fun, and rather curious to see what the overarching story is going to be like.
Thanks bunches!
However, it's not necessary to have read the original series to enjoy these new books. Start with INSIDE STRAIGHT, and you'll be fine.
*off to the bookstore website to have them pull a copy*
